ABSTRACT
Brigata Curva Sud staged a protest against management to expel Dejan
(Coach), Arthur Irawan (Player) and Marco (Main Director). The protest action was
summarized in the movement of three hashtags #DejanOut #ArthurOut #MarcoOut.
BCS in fighting for its demands took action in Sleman, Bandung, Solo, Jakarta. In
the end their demands were met and the three men were able to leave PSS Sleman.
The purpose of this study was to find out the internal and external communication
processes of the Brigata Curva Sud supporter group. The theory used as an
analytical knife is the groupthink theory from Irving L Janis. The research method
used is a qualitative descriptive study, with data collection techniques of interviews,
observation, literature studies and documentation. The results of this study found
that the internal group communication process of Brigata Curva Sud formed two
levels of communication, namely (1) Community and (2) Inter-community.
Meanwhile, in the external communication of the BCS group, it was found that BCS
maintained intense communication with the three host supporters where the action
was carried out, namely The Jak (Jakarta), Viking (Bandung), and Pasoepati/B6
(Solo). Through the Groupthink Theory, it was found that Brigata Curva Sud has
solidity because it has a better sense of management and rationalized the decision
to expel Dejan, Marco, and Arthur Irawan.
