ABSTRAK
Tragedi Kanjuruhan menjadi salah satu insiden kerusuhan terbesar di Indonesia
yang menimbulkan banyak korban jiwa. Di balik besarnya kasus tersebut
terciptalah foto jurnalistik yang bermuatan nilai berita. Tragedi Kanjuruhan
menjadi menarik dan penting untuk diberitakan oleh media massa karena tragedi
tersebut berkaitan dengan bencana kemanusiaan. Salah satu media nasional yang
menyoroti kasus tersebut adalah Antarafoto.com. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan
untuk melihat bagaimana konstruksi berita foto yang dilakukan oleh media
Antarafoto.com dalam framing pemberitaan di Tragedi Kanjuruhan. Berita foto
yang dianalisis sebanyak 13 foto pada periode bulan Oktober 2022 di
Antarafoto.com dengan menggunakan teori konstruksi realitas sosial dan metode
analisis framing model Robert N Entman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa
Antarafoto.com menyajikan fakta bahwa penyebab banyak jatuhnya korban jiwa
dalam Tragedi Kanjuruhan disebabkkan penembakkan gas air mata yang dilakukan
pihak kepolisian dengan alasan untuk meredam Suporter Arema FC yang turun
kedalam lapangan. Disisi lain, Antarafoto.com juga memberikan penekan-
penekanan yang lebih cenderung memihak kepada korban kerusuhan. Selain itu, itu
berita foto terkait simpatisan dan aksi solidaritas yang dilakukan masyarakat
terhadap Tragedi Kanjuruhan juga disampaikan berulang oleh Antara Foto untuk
memberikan penekanan tentang lambannya proses investigasi yang dilakukan oleh
pihak berwajib.

ABSTRAC
The Kanjuruhan tragedy became one of the biggest riots in Indonesia that caused
many casualties. Behind the magnitude of the case was photojournalism with news
value. The Kanjuruhan tragedy became enchanting and necessary to be reported by
the mass media because the tragedy was related to a humanitarian disaster. One of
the national media that highlighted the case was Antarafoto.com. This research aims
to see how the construction carried out by Antarafoto.com media in framing the
news photo on the Kanjuruhan tragedy. The news photos analyzed were 13 snaps
from October 2022 at Antarafoto.com and using the theory of social reality
construction and the Robert N Entman model framing analysis method. The results
showed that Antarafoto.com presented facts that the cause of many casualties in the
Kanjuruhan Tragedy was due to the firing of tear gas by the police with the excuse
of dampening Arema FC supporters who descended into the field. On the other
hand, Antarafoto.com also provides an emphasis that is more likely to favor the
victims of the riots. In addition, the photo news related to sympathizers and
solidarity actions carried out by the community against the Kanjuruhan Tragedy
was also delivered repeatedly by Antara Foto to emphasize the slow investigation
process carried out by the authorities.
