Abstract

Province Nusa Tenggara Timur. According to the geographical it’s on coordinate 652000mE – 656000mE and 8905000mN – 8910000mN which included in Oof thread and Nikiniki thread. Map sheet number 2306 – 322 and 2306 – 324 with scale 1 : 25.000. The research area is 4 x 5 km2. Geomorphicly, research area is devided to 3 units of source form, those are the structural source form with Anticline hills geomorphic subunit (S1), the denudational source form with Wave hills geomorphic subunit (D1), and fluvial source form with River body geomorphic subunit (F1) and Alluvial flat geomorphic subunit (F2). Drift system developing at research area are subdendritic and rectangular. The stratigraphy at research area consist of 4 rocks unit. From old to young are Sandy Limestone unit Ofu Formation (Late Kapur – Late Eocen), Claystone unit Bobonaro Complex (Midle Miocen - Late Pliocen), Mire unit Noele Formation (Early Pliocen – Pleistocen), and Alluvial deposition (Holocen). The structure geology developing at research area example Noe Boko antiklin and Kubat antiklin. Pyrolusite (MnO2) is the kind of manganese contening Mn about 63,2 %. Manganese at the research area has degree about 63,50 %, include at kind of pyrolusite. Surface distributing of manganese which is the kind of pyrolusite is devided to 3 parts, they are Oe’fenu area, Kubat area, and Ayatoko area, and both of 3 sections have characteristic similar and physical similar.
