Gerakan massa dapat terjadi pada daerah yang memiliki lereng terjal sehingga
menyebabkan ketidakstabilan. Daerah penelitian berada pada Padukuhan Selo Timur,
Kalurahan Hargorejo, Kapanewon Kokap, Kabupaten Kulonprogo, DIY memiliki
permasalahan yang terdampak dari perubahan kondisi lahan dengan meninggalkan
lereng kondisi yang sangat kritis dan berdekatan dengan pemukiman warga. Sehingga,
diperlukannya adanya evaluasi terkait kondisi lereng. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui kestabilan pada lereng bekas galian berdasarkan nilai faktor keamanan dan
penentuan arahan pengelolaan yang sesuai.
Didukung dengan metode penelitian survei, pengumpulan data, pemetaan
lapangan serta uji laboratorium. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode
purposive sampling dengan pengambilan sampel pada lereng yang pernah mengalami
gerakan massa batuan. Analisis data guna mengetahui nilai faktor keamanan pada
lereng menggunakan Metode Janbu yang disederhanakan dan pengklasifikasian
berdasarkan Klasifikasi Bowles, 1989.
Hasil pengukuran lapangan didapatkan ketinggian lereng 10 meter dengan
kemiringan lereng 84 o. Hasil pengujian laboratorium untuk pengujian sifat fisik massa
jenis batuan sebesar 10,7 kN/m3. Pengujian sifat mekanika batuan didapatkan hasil
nilai uji, sampel batuan memiliki nilai kohesi batuan sebesar 0,4412 kg/cm2 dengan
sudut gesek sebesar 28,81o . Hasil perhitungan faktor keamanan lereng dengan bantuan
software Rocscience Slide memiliki nilai faktor keamanan 0,542 termasuk dalam
lereng tidak stabil. Arahan pengelolaan yang dilakukan dengan melakukan perubahan
geometri lereng sehingga mengubah nilai faktor keamanan yang semula tidak stabil
menjadi 1,270 yang termasuk dalam lereng stabil. Untuk menambah keamanan lereng
dari pergerakan massa batuan, dilakukan pemasangan bronjong pada dinding lereng,
kemudian pembuatan saluran drainase guna mengurangi debit limpasan air permukaan
yang masuk kedalam batuan sehingga menyebabkan penjenuhan, dan dilakukannya
sosialisasi kepada masyarakat sekitar serta institusi.

ABSTRACT
Mass movement can occur in areas that have steep slopes, causing instability.
The research area is located in East Selo Padukuhan, Hargorejo Subdistrict,
Kapanewon Kokap, Kulonprogo Regency, DIY has problems affected by changes in
land conditions by leaving slopes in very critical conditions and close to residential
areas. Thus, it is necessary to have an evaluation related to slope conditions.
This study aims to determine the stability of the excavation slopes based on the
value of the safety factor and determine the appropriate management guidelines.
Supported by several survey research methods, data collection, field mapping and
laboratory tests. The sampling method uses the Purposive Sampling method by taking
samples on slopes that have experienced rock mass movement. Data analysis to
determine the value of the safety factor on the slope using the simplified Janbu method
and classification based on Bowles Classification, 1989.
The results of field measurements obtained a slope height of 10 meters with a
slope of 84o. Laboratory test results for testing the physical properties of the rock
density of 10.7 kN/m3. Testing the mechanical properties of the rock obtained the
results of the test values, the rock samples had a rock cohesion value of 0.4412 kg/cm2
with a friction angle of 28.81o. Based on the calculation of the safety factor of the
slope with the help of Rocscience Slide software, it has a safety factor value of 0.542
which is included in the unstable slope. The management directive is carried out by
changing the geometry of the slope so that the value of the factor of safety which was
previously unstable is changed to 1.270 which is included in the stable slope. To
increase the safety of the slopes from the movement of rock masses, installing gabions
on the slope walls, then constructing drainage channels to reduce runoff of surface
water that enters the rocks causing saturation, and socialization is carried out to the
surrounding community and institutions.
