UNTUK PERBAIKAN KIMIA TANAH LAHAN PASCA TAMBANG PT.
SILO (Sebuku Iron Lateritic Ores)

ABSTRAK
Proses penambangan terbuka dapat menyebabkan degradasi lahan dan kerusakan
tanah. Salah satunya adalah rusaknya sifat kimia tanah, antara lain penurunan unsur
hara makro, pH tanah, bahan organik tanah, dan peningkatan pertukaran unsur
logam seperti Al dan Fe. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh
pemberian tepung cangkang telur dan kompos terhadap perbaikan sifat kimia tanah
pada lahan pascatambang. Metode yang digunakan adalah percobaan Rancangan
Acak Lengkap (RAL) dua faktor dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah dosis
kompos (P), yang terdiri dari P0 = 0 ton/ha, P1= 5 ton/ha, P2= 10 ton/ha, P3= 15
ton/ha. Faktor kedua adalah dosis tepung cangkang telur (C) yang terdiri dari C0 =
0 ton/ha, C1= 0,5 ton/ha, C2= 1 ton/ha, C3= 1,5 ton/ha. Data penelitian dianalisis
menggunakan variansi (ANOVA) dengan tingkat kepercayaan 5% dan dilanjutkan
dengan uji DMRT untuk membandingkan beda nyata antar perlakuan. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan kerabang telur (C) berpengaruh nyata
terhadap peningkatan nilai pH aktual dan Ca tersedia. Perlakuan kompos (P)
berpengaruh nyata terhadap peningkatan P tersedia. Kombinasi kedua perlakuan
menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap peningkatan bahan organik, KPK, K-
tersedia, Mg-tersedia, dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap penurunan nilai N total, Al-
saturasi dan Fe-tertukar. Dosis terbaik yang dapat digunakan untuk memperbaiki
sifat kimia lahan pascatambang adalah perlakuan P2C1 (kompos 10 ton/ha dan
bubuk cangkang telur 0,5 ton/ha).

APPLICATION OF EGG SHELL POWDER AND COMPOST
FERTILIZER FOR CHEMICAL IMPROVEMENT OF SOIL POST
MINING PT. SILO (Sebuku Iron Lateritic Ores)

ABSTRACT
The process of open mining can cause land degradation and soil damage. One of
them is the damage to the chemical properties of the soil, including decreased
macronutrients, soil pH, soil organic matter, and increased exchange of metal
elements such as Al and Fe. This study aims to determine the effect of the
application of eggshell powder and compost on the improvement of soil chemical
properties in post-mining land. The method used was a two-factor Completely
Randomized Design (CRD) experiment with 3 replications. The first factor is the
dose of compost (P), which consists of P0 = 0 ton/ha, P1= 5 ton/ha, P2= 10 ton/ha,
P3= 15 ton/ha. The second factor is the dose of egg shell powder (C) consisting of
C0 = 0 ton/ha, C1= 0.5 ton/ha, C2= 1 ton/ha, C3= 1.5 ton/ha. The research data
were analyzed using variance (ANOVA) with a 5% level of confidence and
continued with the DMRT test to compare significant differences between
treatments. The results showed that the eggshell treatment (C) had a significant
effect on increasing the actual pH value and available Ca. The compost (P)
treatment had a significant effect on the increase in available P. The combination of
the two treatments showed a significant effect on increasing organic matter, KPK,
K-available, Mg-available, and had a significant effect on decreasing the value of
total N, Al-saturation and Fe-exchanged. The best dosage that can be used to
improve the chemical properties of post-mining land is the P2C1 treatment (10
tons/ha compost and 0.5 tons/ha eggshell powder).
