Hidrolika lumpur pemboran merupakan faktor penting pada operasi pemboran.
Pada Trayek 8 ½” Sumur Directional “VD-01” Lapangan “AW” dirancang
dengan target depth 5606 ft TVD. Pada keldalaman tersebut telrjadil permasalahan
pelmboran yailtu Ratel of Pelneltratilon yang tildak optilmum sebesar 30.02 ft/hr akibat
holel clelanilng yang kurang bailk dengan BHI/HPs sebesar 24.40% pada zona
prospelk yang cukup dalam yaitu 8201 ft MD dengan sudut ilnklilnasil sumur tilnggi
sebesar 50.82°l. Hal tersebut membuat waktu pemboran menjadi lebih lama 1.5
hari dari yang diprogramkan. Dalam hal ini faktor mekanik telah optimum
sehingga langkah optimasi dilakukan pada aspek hidrolika pemborannya.
Dalam evaluasi dan optimasi hidrolika lumpur di bit digunakan pendekatan yaitu
Bit Hydraulic Impact (BHI) dengan nilai BHI/HPs ≥ 48% dan hidrolika lumpur di
annulus dengan Cutting Transport Ratio (Ft) ≥ 90%, Cutting Consentration (Ca)
< 5%, dan Particle Bed Index (PBI) ≥ 1. Langkah optimasi hidrolika lumpur
dilakukan dengan mengoptimasi tekanan pompa yang digunakan.
Pada hasil evaluasi hidrolika lumpur dengan Ppompa sebesar 1960 psi dan Qpompa
sebesar 710 gpm diperoleh nilai BHI/HPs sebesar 24.40%, Ft sebesar 80.74%, Ca
sebesar 0.257% dan PBI sebesar 1. Dimana nilai tersebut tidak optimum sehingga
Ppompa dinaikkan menjadi 2750 psi dengan Qpompa tetap dan diperoleh nilai BHI/HPs
sebesar 51.69%, Ft sebesar 92.19%, Ca sebesar 0.360%, dan PBI sebesar 1.
Dimana dari hasil optimasi telah menunjukkan kondisi optimum yang
menyebabkan cutting terangkat lebih banyak, pembersihan di dasar lubang bor
menjadi lebih baik, dan cutting tidak mengendap yang menyebabkan ROP naik
60% menjadi 48.05 ft/hr dan dapat mempercepat waktu pemboran selama 1.5 hari.

Drilling mud hydraulics is an important factor in drilling operations. On 8 ½”
Trajectory, "VD-01" Well, "AW" Field is designed with a target depth of 5606 ft
TVD. At that depth, there was a problem with drilling, namely Rate of Penetration
which was not optimal at 30.02 ft/day due to poor hole cleaning with a BHI/HPs
of 24.40% in a deep enough prospect zone of 8201 ft MD with a high well angle
of elevation of 50.82°. This made the drilling time 1.5 days longer than planned.
In this case, the mechanical factor has been optimum so optimization steps are
carried out on the hydraulics aspect of the drilling.
In the evaluation and optimization of mud hydraulics at the bit, the approach is
namely Bit Hydraulic Impact (BHI) with a BHI/HPs value of ≥ 48% and mud
hydraulics in the annulus with Cutting Transport Ratio (Ft) ≥ 90%, Cutting
Concentration (Ca) < 5%, and Particle Bed Index (PBI) ≥ 1. The mud hydraulics
optimization step is carried out by optimizing the pump pressure used.
In the evaluation results of mud hydraulics with a Ppump of 1960 psi and a
Qpump of 710 gpm, the value of BHI/HPs is 24.40%, Ft is 80.74%, Ca is 0.257%
and PBI is 1. Where these values are not optimum so that the Ppump is increased
to 2750 psi with Qpumps remaining and obtained BHI/HPs values of 51.69%, Ft
of 92.19%, Ca of 0.360%, and PBI of 1. Where from the optimization results have
shown optimum conditions that cause cutting to be lifted more, cleaning at the
bottom of the borehole is better, and the cutting does not settle which causes ROP
to increase by 60% to 48.05 ft/hr and can speed up drilling time by 1.5 days.
