ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) Mengkaji kultur masyarakat Kemasan sebelum adanya
Desa Wisata Kemasan, (2) Mengkaji proses perubahan kultural pada masyarakat
Kemasan setelah adanya Desa Wisata Kemasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan
pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Teknik penentuan
informan dilakukan secara purposive dan snowball. Sumber data yang digunakan
yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan
wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dengan pengujian keabsahan data
menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1)
Kultur masyarakat sebelum adanya desa wisata masih menunjukkan karakteristik
kultur masyarakat tradisional, pola pikir masyarakat yang belum luas
mengakibatkan masyarakat lambat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya (2)
Proses perubahan kultural masyarakat Desa Wisata Kemasan terjadi melalui proses
adaptasi ekologi budaya. Namun, pada sistem pengetahuan dan sistem religi tidak
mengalami perubahan. Perubahan pada masyarakat mengakibatkan pola pikir yang
terbuka.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to (1) Examine the culture of the Kemasan community before the
existence of the Kemasan Tourism Village, (2) To examine the process of cultural
change in the Kemasan community after the existence of the Kemasan Tourism
Village. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research.
The technique of determining the informant is carried out by purposive and
snowball. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Data
collection techniques using interviews, observation, documentation by testing the
validity of the data using source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that
(1) The community culture before the existence of the tourist village still shows the
characteristics of traditional community culture, the mindset of the people who are
not yet widespread causes the community to be slow in making ends meet. (2) The
process of cultural change for the people of the Kemasan Tourism Village occurs
through a process of adaptation to cultural ecology. However, the knowledge
system and religious system has not changed. Changes in society result in an open
mindset.
