Abstract

Determination of tin plaser and accompanying minerals can be determined by analysis of the grain size distribution, so as to know the level of the mineral wealth of tin ore cassiterite carrier element in the region of Central Bangka regency.The research area is located in the former mining areas of mechanical afforded by PT Timah, which has been declared unfit mine, and followed by the local community for traditional mined.This research method is the retrieval of rock samples in the observation location in the traditional mining area, for subsequent analysis in the laboratory by using a sifter based on the fraction of Tyler.From the analysis of rock samples showed the presence of the percentage content of mineral cassiterite tin as a carrier element along with minerals followers. Obtained varying levels until at levels of 25.49% cassiterite. Minerals that often arises is ilmenite, zircon, tourmaline, muscovite and quartz minerals, which its content can be greater than the mineral cassiterite.
