Abstract

Eruption of Mount Merapi in 2010 was the largest eruption since 1872, the scale of VEI 4 by issuing deposits amounting to 140 million m3 (Subandriyo, 2010). Kali Gendol-risk areas Opak a lava flood threat is most severe on the southern slope of Merapi (Prone Area Map Bencanan 2010 by the Center for Investigation and Technological Development Kegunungapian). This research study aims to describe the character-Opak Gendol river, describing the threat of lava flood-prone areas and describe the level of risk and asset risk areas in areas prone to the threat of catastrophic flooding in the river of lava- Opak Gendol. In the study area includes four administrative districts that are part of the DAS-Opak Gendol ie Cangkringan, Ngemplak, Kalasan, Berbah, Sleman regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. The method used in this study was conducted by surveys and direct field measurements for later quantitative analysis, analysis of field data with mathematical calculations and analysis, map / studio. Volume pelaharan times Gendol and Opak is 1,081,165 m3. Gendol times the speed of the lava is 25.38 m / s with a distance of 6033.2 m or 6.0332 miles on a travel time of 10079.461 seconds or 2.79 hours.
