Abstract

The research titled "Response of Three Varieties of Eggplant (Solanum melongena L) to
Concentration of Solution Complement Fertilizer" has been conducted at Srigading, Sanden,
Bantul, DIY, during January - April 2007. The aims of this research are to study or interaction
between eggplant variety and solution complement fertilizer, to determine which variety and
concentration is the best.
The method that used is Randomized Completely Block Design with 2 factors : Variety (Pondoh
PJ, Mustang F1, Ratih Hijau-1) and Concentration (without fertilizer, 1.25g/l, 2.5g/1, 3.75g/1) with
3 replications.
The result show that there is an interaction between solution concentration fertilizer and eggplant
variety on number of chlorophyls and level of Calsium. The number and weight of fruit per plant
of Ratih Hijau-1 are better than the other varieties. Concentration 2.5g/1 and 3.75g/ showed the
better of number and weight fruit per plant than the other treatment.
