Abstract
The high quality seed supplying in a short time is become constraint in pitaya cultivation. The effort we can do is cutting and fertilizing with liquid fertilizer that contain nutritions so the seedling producted have the same characteristic as the mother plant and can be in production rapidly. The experiment was conducted at Gadingan, Sinduharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman Yogyakarta Province, during the period of April up to July 2006. A factorial experiment of 3 x 3 factors was employed, where the treatments were arranged in Completely Randomized Design with three replications. The first factor was length of stem consisted of three levels i.e.: 10 cm , 15 cm and 20 cm. The second factors was kind of liquid fertilizers i.e. : SNN, GH 81 R and Flash 45 R. Result of the experiment showed, the stem 20 cm produce the best height and fresh weight of shoot. The liquid fertilizer Flash 45 R gave the shoot height growth 10,4 cm and the best fresh shoot weight, 33,02 g. The 15 cm and 20 cm stem gave the best percentage of growing stem, fresh root weight and dry root weight,
