Abstract
Effect of Pollution Mud Lapindo Brantas to Several Soil Properties Growth and Yield of Rice
The Purpose of this study was to determine the effect of pollution mud Lapindo Brantas to some soil prpperties, growth, and yield of rice. The method used in this stud is a surve and descriptive method. Soil and plant samplingconducted at 3 location ie: J1(the location is less than 100 meters from the irrigation canals ontaminated mud), J2(a location 100 meters to 200 meters of the irrigation canals ontaminated mud) and J3( the location is more than 200 meters of the irrigation canals ontaminated mud). Each location is taken 3 replication. The parameters analized is the rootingdept, bulk density, porosity, aggregate stability, organi C, available P, exchangeable K, total N, Ca content, pH H2O, bade saturation, cation exchangeable capacity, growth and yield of rice. The results showedthat Lapindo Brantas mud contaminationof irrigation canals had significant effect on rooting depth, exchangeable K, and contentof Ca, but not significantly different with other soil properties and not significant effect on growth and yield of rice. Low soil fertility status, low base saturation(28.84% - 32.59 %) and medium cation echange capacity (23.50% -27.05 me%)
