Abstract

This research aimed to deals with The Role of Komunitas Tani Mandiri Indonesia (KTMI) as using Organic Liquid Fertilizer or Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) based on agricultural waste used on paddy in Sragen Regency, Central Java for improving farmer welfare. KTMI is the community of farmers in Sragen that do everything from farm, land management and also get the buyer by themselves. This community was also established for organic system of agricultural farming by considering a good environment. Production and Tehcnology aplied in this program keep a good environment that is called "Go Green" and also can be able to get economical benefit. We used survey method in this research and used farmers of KTMI members in Sragen for respondent.. Five parameters in perception and participation of farmer were chosen to analyze the goal of the research. Economical analysis i.e R/C and also B/C were done to analyze the application before and after using POC in this program. The result showed that there was high level (> 75 %) of KTMI Sragen in socializing and disseminating POC application in Sragen. Economical analysis also showed that there was increasing revenue and profit for farmers and also all of KTMI member by using POC in their business. It means that POC application in Sragen can be able to improve the farmer welfare.
