Abstract
Dendrobium sp. orchid is a very popular and favored type of ornamental
plant. This study aims to examine the interaction between types of foliar fertilizers and
planting media, the best kind of foliar fertilizers, and the best kind of planting media on
the vegetative growth of Dendrobium sp. The research method used a Split Plot Design.
Main plot was foliar fertilizer consisting of four levels: Gandasil D, Growmore Biru, POC
Supra, and POC Nasa. Sub Plot was planting medium consisting of three levels: ferns,
coconut husks, and logs. The results showed that the combination of Gandasil D fertilizer
to orchids grown in fern media produced more roots than the other combination. All kinds
of foliar fertilizers showed the same results on all parameters. Wooden media showed
best results on root long parameter.
