Abstract
The low availability of N and P for corn resulted in disruption of plant growth
processes including inhibition of root extension. Bacterial isolates Bacillus sp
termotoleran of land affected by the eruption capable of dissolving phosphate,
potentially of fixing nitrogen and produce several types of phytohormones so as to
stimulate root growth. Research was conducted to determine the growth response of
corn inoculated with bacteria thermotoleran, isolates of land affected by the eruption.
The research method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) 2 factors. The
first factor is the treatment Isolates consists of 8 levels: Without isolates (O), 320
isolates, B isolate, P iso lates, B320 isolates, P320 Isolates, PB Isolates, PB320 isolates.
Factor II: Fertilizer treatments consisted of 3 levels: Without Fertilizer (O), P
Fertilizer, NP Fertilizer. Each treatment was repeated 3 times. The parameters
measured were: plant dry weight, plant height and number of leaves. The results
showed that the inoculation of bacterial isolates termotoleran of land affected by the
eruption of Merapi wer able to improve the growth of corn on soil organic matter and
not given. Among the isolates tested, 320 isolates and the combination isolates of
PB320 significantly responce best corn growing on soil organic matter added.
