Abstract

Areal kerja PT. AICJ berupa wilayah Perjanjian Kerjasama Perusahaan Pertambangan Batubara (PKP2B) seluas 747 Ha berada di dalam areal PT. Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk, Unit Pertambangan Ombilin (PT. BA-UPO). AICJ region in the form of Agreement for Coal Mining Company (PKP2B) covering an area of 747 hectares located in the area of PT. Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk, Ombilin Mining Unit (PT BA-UPO).Regard for geological and geotechnical conditions in the mining area Parambahan, PT. AICJ plans to underground mining using the room and pillar method.Mining with the method requires a number of new openings as access holes for driving coal, the work is called development. Problems at mining sites of Panel B1 PT. AICJ is irregular coal at once blasted causing the work to be done twice.Development activities being carried out holes in Panel B1 Working Face 01, Working and Working Face 02 Face 03. In practice, making a hole made in the conventional development (drilling and blasting) with the help of coal pick. Distance between drill holes in different field because when drilling is not measured the exact calculation but only using estimates. There are three face that made blasting for development with different sizes and each face has a distance between 15 m and 60 m depth from the surface. Obtained from the calculation, then earned an average drilling depth is 1,059 m with effectiveness reached 96,27% and averages progress face each blasting is equal to 1,048 m with a percentage of 98,96% of the depth of the drilling is done. Spacing in the field ranged from 30-40 cm with face conditions of employment without empty drill hole. Results blasting without any empty drill hole to be imperfect. Based on the calculations, a spacing of 4,159 feet (126,76 cm) with a working face conditions using an empty hole as the second free field. The existence of an empty borehole as the second free field in underground blasting is necessary
