Abstract
PT. Sinar Asia Fortuna is a limestone mining company that has an operation area in Dukuh Pancuran, Desa Tahunan, Kecamatan Sale, Kabupaten Rembang, Central Java. Blok Kupasan is the mine site that is used for the study or research area and the applied mining system is the open pit mining system. PT. Sinar Asia Fortuna has a production target for the stripping of overburden cover 30,000 BCM/month. The process of the overburden stripping uses mechanical tools. The mechanical tools are one unit of loading equipment that is Excavator Backhoe Komatsu and two units of hauling equipment that is Dumptruck Nissan CW 340. The problem that occurs is unfulfilled production from digging-loading equipment and hauling equipment so that the production target have not been achieved. The current production capability is 10090.08 BCM / month. The unachieved production target are caused by mechanical tools that is too old, and a lot of wasted work time due to work constraints, both of which could be avoided or couldn’t be avoided. These constraints minimize the effective work time causing low efficiency. Efforts to increase the production of overburden stripping can be done with increasing effective work time, increasing bucket fill factors, adding the number of work shifts, and adding the hauling equipment that works properly. With those efforts, production target was achieved, from the initial production with 10.090,08 BCM/month to 37.411,55 BCM/month. In order to achieve the desired production target, supervison of work time should be done so that the available work time could be utilized as much as possible PT. Sinar Asia Fortuna merupakan perusahaan tambang batugamping yang memiliki daerah operasi di Dukuh Pancuran, Desa Tahunan, Kecamatan Sale, Kabupaten Rembang, Jawa Tengah. Lokasi tambang yang dijadikan daerah penelitian adalah Blok Kupasan. Sistem penambangan yang diterapkan adalah system penambangan terbuka. PT. Sinar Asia Fortuna memiliki target produksi untuk pengupasan lapisan tanah penutup sebesar 30.000 BCM/bulan. Proses pengupasan lapisan tanah penutup menggunakan alat mekanis 1 unit alat muat yaitu Excavator Backhoe Komatsu PC 200, dan 2 unit alat angkut yaitu Dumptruck Nissan CW 340. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah belum terpenuhinya produksi dari alat gali-muat dan alat angkut sehingga target produksi belum tercapai. Kemampuan produksi saat ini adalah 10.090,08 BCM/bulan. Tidak tercapainya target produksi disebabkan sistem kerja alat-alat mekanis yang tidak efisien, dan banyak waktu kerja yang terbuang karena adanya hambatan kerja baik hambatan yang bisa dihindari maupun yang tidak bisa dihindari. Dengan adanya hambatan-hambatan tersebut memperkecil waktu kerja efektif sehingga efisiensi rendah. Upaya peningkatan produksi pengupasan lapisan tanah penutup dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan waktu kerja efektif, meningkatkan factor pengisian mangkok, menambah jumlah shift kerja, dan menambah alat angkut yang bekerja. Dengan upaya yang dilakukan target produksi bias tercapai yaitu produksi semula sebesar 10.090,08 BCM/bulan menjadi 37.411,55 BCM/bulan. Untuk dapat mencapai target produksi yang diinginkan sebaiknya dilakukan pengawasab waktu kerja yang telah ditetapkan agar waktu kerja yang tersedia bisa dimanfaatkan sebaik mungkin
