ABSTRAK
Konflik Kepulauan Senkaku antara Cina dan Jepang sudah terjadi sejak
lama hingga sekarang. Cina dan Jepang masing-masing memiliki klaim yang saling
bertentangan. Pasca nasionalisasi Kepulauan Senkaku yang dilakukan oleh Jepang
tahun 2012, konflik ini mengalami eskalasi dikarenakan perbuatan Jepang tersebut
yang kemudian membuat Cina harus memberikan reaksinya. Skripsi ini bertujuan
untuk membahas mengenai bagaimana sikap Cina terhadap Jepang pasca
nasionalisasi Kepulauan Senkaku pada tahun 2012. Konsep yang digunakan pada
skripsi ini adalah konsep teori eskalasi konflik model spiral. Pada model ini secara
umum menggabarkan kedua belah pihak yang berkonflik saling memberikan reaksi,
ketika suatu pihak memberikan aksi maka pihak lain akan memberikan reaksi.
Metode yang digunakan adalah library research dan teknik analisa data dilakukan
secara deskriptif. Pasca nasionalisasi kepulauan Senkaku, Cina menunjukkan reaksi
yang lebih tegas lagi terhadap Jepang. Berbagai macam aksi dilakukan oleh warga
maupun pemerintah seperti aksi demonstrasi, aksi boikot produk Jepang
peningkatan aktivitas militer dan kemaritiman, pembentukan ADIZ serta hubungan
bilateral yang bersifat lebih menekan dari Cina untuk mempertegas klaimnya
terhadap Kepulauan Senkaku.

CHINA’S ATTITUDE AFTER THE NAZIONALIZATION OF THE
SENKAKU ISLANDS BY JAPAN IN 2012
ABSTRACT
The Senkaku Islands conflict between China and Japan has been going on
for a long time now. China and Japan each have conflicting claims. After the
nationalization of the Senkaku Islands carried out by Japan in 2012, this conflict
experienced an escalation due to Japan's actions which then forced China to give
its reaction. This thesis aims to discuss how China's attitude towards Japan after
the nationalization of the Senkaku Islands in 2012. The concept used in this thesis
is the spiral mode of conflict escalation theory. In this model, in general, it
describes the two conflicting parties reacting to each other, when one party takes
action, the other party will react. The method used is library research and data
analysis techniques are carried out descriptively. After the nationalization of the
Senkaku island, China showed an even firmer reaction against Japan. Various kind
of actions were carried out by citizens and the government, such as demonstrations,
boycott of Japanese products, increased military and maritime activities, the
formation of the ADIZ and more pressing bilateral relations by China to assert its
claims to the Senkaku island.
