ABSTRACT
CV. Bedjoe Oetomo is a mining company (sand and stone) with an IUP area of
4.99 hectares located at Banjarharjo Village, Kalibawang District, Kulon Progo
Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Reclamation is a process that is conducted
throughout the life time of a mine which aims to arrange, rehabilitate, and improve
the quality of the environment and ecosystem so that it is able to function according
to its intended purpose. The purpose of this study was to create a reclamation plan
to repair the mined sand and stone area. The research method used is observation
and literature study was used to obtain secondary data. Based on observations
made, there needs to be a comprehensive plan to arrange the previously mined
area and a study regarding the revegetation conducted at CV. Bedjoe Oetomo as
the mining operation had not been done in accordance with the recommendation
of the BBWS (Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai Serayu Opak) and had mined the
riparian zone. Erosion control was carried out mechanically and vegetatively by
reshaping the previously mined slope with the initial angle being 83° into a slope
with a 35° angle without altering the slope height. Which is then continued with
the creation of planting holes to reduce erosion and as a place to plant Vetiver and
Bahia grass. The number of plants for revegetation needed were 9,600 Vetiver
grass and 4,800 Bahia plants.

ABSTRAK
CV. Bedjoe Oetomo merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di sector
pertambangan sirtu (batu dan pasir) dengan luas IUP 4,99 Ha terletak di Dusun
Semawung, Desa Banjarharjo, Kecamatan Kalibawang, Kabupaten Kulon Progo,
Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Reklamasi adalah suatu proses yang dilakukan
sepanjang umur tambang yang bertujuan untuk menata, merehabilitasi, dan
meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan dan ekosistem agar dapat berfungsi sesuai
peruntukannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat rencana reklamasi
untuk memperbaiki area pasir dan batu yang ditambang. Metode penelitian yang
digunakan adalah observasi dan studi literatur digunakan untuk memperoleh data
sekunder. Berdasarkan pengamatan yang telah dilakukan, perlu adanya
perencanaan yang komprehensif untuk menata area bekas tambang dan kajian
revegetasi yang dilakukan di CV. Bedjoe Oetomo sebagai akibat tidak dilakukan
penambangan sesuai dengan rekomendasi dari BBWS (Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai
Serayu Opak) dan menambang di daerah sempadan sungai. Pengendalian erosi
dilakukan secara mekanis dan vegetatif dengan membentuk kembali lereng yang
telah ditambang sebelumnya dengan sudut awal 83° menjadi lereng dengan sudut
35° tanpa mengubah tinggi lereng, yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pembuatan
lubang tanam untuk mengurangi erosi dan sebagai tempat penanaman rumput
Vetiver dan Bahia. Jumlah tanaman yang dibutuhkan untuk revegetasi adalah 9.600
rumput Vetiver dan 4.800 rumput Bahia.
