RINGKASAN
Selama pemboran sumur SAN-7 di lapangan Jambaran ketika menembus
Formasi Kujung terjadi total loss circulation pada trayek 8 ½” kedalaman 6067 ft TVD.
Total loss ini terjadi karena Formasi Kujung memiliki batuan karbonat yang vugular
memiliki heterogenitas porositas dan permeabilitas yang cukup tinggi sehingga
memiliki potensi loss circulation yang besar. Ditinjau dari segi formasinya, maka loss
circulation dapat terjadi pada Coarseley permeable formation (formasi dengan butiran
kasar yang permeable) dan Cavernous formation (gua-gua terbuka), fissure, fracture
sehingga perlu dilakukan analisa penyebab dan cara penanggulangan loss circulation
yang optimum.
Analisa yang dilakukan dalam penulisan ini adalah mencari penyebab
terjadinya total loss circulation di sumur SAN-7, melihat tanda-tanda loss circulation
dan jenisnya serta menentukan penanggulangan yang dilakukan jika loss circulation itu
terjadi. Data yang dibutuhkan adalah data pemboran, data hasil tinjauan lapangan dan
identifikasi problem loss circulation. Langkah selanjutnya adalah memastikan faktor
penyebab loss circulation tersebut diamati dari keadaan formasi dan dilakukan
perhitungan tekanan hidrostatik (Ph), tekanan hidrodinamik (Phd), tekanan formasi (Pf)
dan tekanan rekah formasi (Pfr).
Hasil perhitungan Pf, Ph,Phd dan Prf didapatkan Pf < Ph < Phd < Prf sehingga
memberikan gambaran bahwa timbulnya loss circulation tidak disebabkan oleh tekanan
pompa dan tekanan hidrostatis namun disebabkan karena kondisi formasi yang loss.
Jenis Loss yang terjadi adalah total loss yang disebabkan oleh kondisi formasi yang
cavernous (Limestone) yang menyebabkan loss lebih dari 90% - no return.
Penanggulangan total loss circulation dipilih dengan cara pompakan DOB2C sebanyak
50 bbl dengan ratio 2 : 1. Penggunaan DOB2C di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa
DOB2C dapat mengatasi total loss di trayek 8 ½”ini, dimana slurry dapat menutup zona
loss dan formasi dapat dibor kembali sampai target yang telah ditentukan.

ABSTRACT

During the drilling of the SAN-7 well in the Jambaran field when it penetrated
the Kujung formation there was a total loss of circulation at the 8 ½”trajectoryat a depth
of 6067 ft TVD. The total loss that occurs can result in high cost and longer drilling
time. This total loss occurs because the Kujung Formation has vugular carbonate rock
which has heterogeneity in porosity and permeability which is quite high so it has the
potential for loss circulation. In term of formation, loss circulation can occur in
Coarseley permeable formation (formation with permeable coarse grain) and
Caverneus formation (open caves), fissure, fractures so it is necessary to analyze the
cause and ways to deal with excessive circulation loss optimum.
The analysis carried out in this paper is to find the cause off total loss circulation
in the SAN-7 well, see signs of loss circulation and its type and determine counter
measure to be taken if loss circulation occur. The data needed is drilling data, review
data field and identification off loss circulation problem. The next step is to ensure that
the factor causing the loss circulation are observed from the state of the formation and
calculate the hydrostatic pressure (Ph), hydrodynamic pressure (Phd),formation
pressure (Pf) and Formation fracture pressure (Pfr).
The calculation result of Pf, PH, Phd and Pfr obtained Pf < Ph < Phd < Pfr so
that illustrated that the loss circulation is not caused by pump pressure and hydrostatic
pressure but is caused by loss of formation condition. The type of loss occur is total
loss circulation caused by cavernous formation conditions (Limestone) which causes a
loss more than 90% - no return. Countermeasures for total loss circulation are selected
in away pump DOB2C as much as 50 bbls with a ratio DOB2C : Mud = 2 : 1. The use
of DOB2C in the field show that DOB2C can overcome the total loss on this 8 ½”
trajectory where the slurry can close the loss zone and the formation can be drilled again
to a predetermined target.
