ABSTRAK
PT. Samudera Mulia Abadi adalah kontraktor dari PT. Weda Bay Nikel
yang merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pertambangan bijih nikel,
dengan lokasi penambangan yang terletak di Kelurahan Lelilef Sawai, Kecamatan
Weda Tengah, Kabupaten Halmahera Tengah, Provinsi Maluku Utara. PT.
Samudera Mulia Abadi memiliki target produksi nikel laterit sebesar 450.000 ton
setiap bulan, dengan adanya target produksi tersebut maka dubutuhkan rancangan
sequence penambangan bulanan untuk mencapai target produksi.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang kemajuan penambangan
selama tiga bulan di subpit 5 dan 8 Kaorahai, menghitung kebutuhan alat muat dan
angkut, serta merancang penjadwalan produksi untuk mencapai target produksi
yang telah ditentukan.
Metode penambangan pada penelitian ini menggunakan kombinasi dari
metode tambang terbuka (surface mining) yaitu open cut dan block mining,
dikarenakan berdasarkan persebaran material yang ada dilapangan merupakan
material homogen serta pertimbangan dari smelter yang ada.
Kemajuan penambangan pada tiga bulan perancangan didapatkan rata-rata
produksi bijih nikel yang bisa didapatkan sebesar 450.000 ton. Untuk menunjang
menunjang produksi tersebut diperlukan alat muat excavator Hitachi zaxis 870lch
sebanyak 4 unit, alat angkut articulated dumptruck Volvo A60H sebanyak 14 unit.
Target produksi pada tiga bulan dapat tercapai secara optimal sesuai rencana.

ABSTRACT
PT. Samudera Mulia Abadi is a contractor of PT. Weda Bay Nickel which isa
company engaged in nickel mining, which located in Lelilef Sawai Village, Central Weda
District, Central Halmahera Regency, North Maluku. PT. SamuderaMulia Abadi has a
laterite nickel production target in the amount of 450,000 tons per month, with this target
a monthly mining sequence design is needed to achievethe production target.
The purpose of this research is to design mining progress for three months insubpits
5 and 8 Kaorahai, calculate the necessary for loading and hauling equipment, and design
a production schedule to achieve the predetermined production target.
The mining method in this research used a combination of surface mining methods,
which are open cut and block mining, because based on the distribution of existing
materials in the field, they are homogeneous materials andconsiderations of existing
smelters.
Mining progress in the three months of design obtained an average nickel ore
production in the amount of 450,000 tons. To support this production, 4 units of Hitachi
zaxis 870lch excavator loading equipment and 14 units of Volvo A60H articulated
dumptruck are needed. The production target in three months can be achieved optimally
according to the plan.
