Abstract

Production of loading equipment and transportation equipment in
overburden stripping activities is very important because it can affect the speed at
which coal seams can be excavated. The problem that often occurs in coal mining
companies is not achieving the production target of the loading and conveying
equipment used by the company.
This study aims to examine the production of loading equipment and
transportation equipment used, evaluate the factors that cause the production
target not to be achieved and provide recommendations for improvements to the
factors that cause production not to be achieved, so that the production of loading
equipment and transportation equipment can be achieved. .
The research method begins with a study of literature, field observations to
obtain primary and secondary data directly, the data obtained is then processed
and analyzed so that alternative solutions to problems are obtained, then can
provide suggestions after making production improvements to the problems that
occur.
The problem that occurred in March 2022 at PT.Golden Great Borneo was
that the overburden stripping production target of 290,000 BCM/month had not
been achieved. The production that can be produced by the Hitachi ZAXXIS 870
LCH digging tool is 296,113 BCM/month and 3 units of Komatsu HD 465
conveyance is 228,220.85 BCM/month or about 78.69%.
The results obtained are that the production of loading equipment and
transportation equipment has not reached the target set by the company. Efforts
that can be made are to increase work efficiency by repairing obstacles by widening
and improving road grades.
The production value of loading and unloading equipment and
transportation equipment has increased and can reach the production target in
March 2022 which has been set by the company. Increased production of digging
and loading equipment from 296,113.94 BCM/month (102.1%) increased to
300,367.8 BCM/month (103.57%) and transportation equipment from 228,220.85
BCM/month (78.69%) increased to 301,067.4 BCM/month (103.81%).
