Abstract

RINGKASAN
Penelitian dilakukan pada PT. Bukit Makmur Istindo Nikeltama Morowali
Utara, Sulawesi Tengah. Pada lokasi penelitian, proses penambangan menggunakan
sistem tambang terbuka dengan metode open pit, sehingga memerlukan sistem
penyaliran untuk mendukung kegiatan penambangan. Setelah dilakukan
pengamatan di lapangan dan pendekatan literatur, diusulkan rancangan sistem
penyaliran menggunakan metode mine dewatering dengan membuat paritan dan
sump. Sumber air tambang berasal dari air hujan yang masuk ke saluran terbuka di
luar lubang bukaan maupun di dalam lubang bukaan tambang yang akan mengalir
ke sump di dasar lubang bukaan tambang.
Perhitungan curah hujan rencana yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini
menggunakan metode Log person III, nilai curah hujan dan perhitungan waktu
konsentrasi berdasarkan pada data perusahaan. Data yang digunakan dalam
penelitian ini ialah data hujan periode 10 tahun (2011-2020), periode ulang hujan
selama 2 tahun, curah hujan rencana hasil perhitungan ialah 64,66 mm/hari
sehingga dengan menggunakan waktu konsentrasi 3,1 jam, didapat intensitas
sebesar 10,54 mm/jam.
Lokasi penelitian memiliki 2 daerah tangkapan hujan, DTH 1 (di luar front
penambangan) dilengkapi dengan saluran terbuka I (6,87 m3
/detik), sedangkan
DTH 2 (di dalam front penambangan) dilengkapi dengan saluran terbuka II(0,39
m3
/detik). Sump terletak di lantai dasar pit dapat menampung air limpasan dengan
volume 5.365,21 m3
. Air di sump kemudian akan dipompa menuju ke kolam
pengendapan menggunakan pompa Torishima CDM 350LN yang memiliki total
head 31,58 m dan debit sebesar 1,88 m3
/detik. Air limpasan diarahkan ke kolam
pengendapan untuk dilakukan pengendapan sedimen sebelum dibuang ke badan air.
Kolam pengendapan memiliki luas sebesar 5.460 m2
dengan waktu perawatan
dalam waktu 88 hari.

SUMMARY
The research was conducted at PT. Bukit Makmur Istindo Nickeltama North
Morowali, Central Sulawesi. At the research site, the mining process uses an open
pit mining system, with the open pit method so that it requires a drainage system to
support mining activities. After many literature review and field observation, mine
drainage and mine dewatering are recommended for the design, with making open
channels and sumps. The source of mine water comes from rainwater that enters
the open channel outside the mine opening or into the mine opening which will flow
to the sump at the bottom of the mine opening.
The calculation of the planned rainfall carried out in this study used the Log
person III method, the value of rainfall and the calculation of the concentration
time based on company data. The data used in this study is data from companies
for a period of 10 years (2011-2020). From the rain return period for 2 years, the
maximum planned rainfall calculated is 64,66 mm/day so that by using a
concentration time of 3,1 hours, the intensity of rain is 10,54 mm/hour.
The research location has 2 rain catchment areas. Catchment area 1 is
equipped with open channel I (6.87 m3
/sec), while Catchment area 2 is equipped
with open channel II (0.39 m3
/sec). The sump located on the ground floor of the pit
can temporarily accommodate runoff water with a volume of 5.365,21 m3
. The
water in the sump will then be pumped into the settling pond using a Torishima
CDM 350LN, pump which has a total head of 31.58 m and a discharge of 1,88
m
3
/sec. Runoff water is directed to ponds to be carried on sediments before being
discharged into water bodies. The settling pond has an area of 5.460 m2 with a
treatment time of 88 days.
