DI BALERANTE, KEMALANG, KABUPATEN KLATEN
JAWA TENGAH

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan status kesuburan tanah dan
beberapa sifat kimia tanah pasca tambang pasir yang ditanami tanaman Sengon
(Paraserianthes falcataria L.) di Balerante, Kemalang, Kabupaten Klaten, Jawa
Tengah yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei-Juni 2021. Metodologi penelitian
menggunakan metode survei, penentuan lokasi dengan cara purposif dan
pengambilan sampel tanah dengan metode acak sederhana. Pengambilan sampel
tanah dari areal pasca tambang pasir yang tidak (TS) dan yang ditanami Sengon (S)
masing-masing sebanyak 6 sampel sehingga jumlahnya 12 sampel. Sampel tanah
dianalisis di Laboratorium Sumberdaya Lahan Fakultas Pertanian “Veteran” UPN
Yogyakarta dengan parameter pengamatan berupa sifat kimia tanah yaitu:
Kemasaman tanah (pH), Bahan organik (C organik), Nitrogen (N total), C/N,
Fosfor (P tersedia), Kalium (K tersedia), Kapasitas Pertukaran Kation (KPK),
Kejenuhan Basa (KB), Analisa data berupa analisis parametrik dengan uji
komparatif berupa uji-t berpasangan (Paired Sample T-Test) untuk mengetahui
perubahan sifat kimia tanah. Data ditabulasikan, dikelaskan dan dikombinasikan
status kesuburannya sesuai parameter sifat tanah dengan standar harkat tanah. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan perubahan beberapa sifat kimia tanah pada lahan pasca
tambang pasir yang ditanami Sengon yaitu peningkatan yang nyata pada C organik,
C/N, dan KB tanah sedangkan peningkatan yang tidak nyata pada K tersedia, KPK
dan penurunan yang nyata pada pH, N total dan P tersedia tanah. Perubahan status
kesuburan tanah pada lahan pasca tambang pasir yang tidak ditanami Sengon
sangat rendah (SR) menjadi rendah (R) pada lahan yang ditanami Sengon setara
dengan peningkatan kesuburan tanah sebesar 33,33%.

CHANGES IN SOIL FERTILITY STATUS OF POST-SAND MINING
AREA PLANTED BY SENGON (Paraserianthes falcataria L.)

ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine changes in soil fertility status and several soil
chemical properties from the post-sand mining planted with Sengon
(Paraserianthes falcataria L.) in Balerante, Kemalang, Klaten Regency, Central
Java, held in May-June 2021. This study used a survey method where location is
determined by purposive and soil sampling is determined by simple random
sampling. Soil samples derived from post-sand mining areas which were planted
(S) (6 sampels) and were not planted with Sengon (TS) (6 sampels) so 12 samples
in total. Soil samples were analyzed in Laboratory of Faculty of Agriculture of
UPN Veteran Yogyakarta with some parameters such as Soil acidity (pH),
Organic matter (C organic), Nitrogen (N total), C/N, Phosphorus (P available),
Potassium (K available), Cation exchange Capacity (CEC), Base Saturation (BS).
Data is analyzed by parametric analysis with a comparative test (Paired Sample T�Test) to determine changes in soil chemical status. Data are tabulated, classified
and combined with fertility status according to the parameters of soil properties
with soil value standards. The results showed changes in several soil chemical
properties in the post sand mining planted with Sengon are significant increase in
organic C, C/N, and soil BS while no significant increase in K available, CEC and
significant decrease in pH, total N and P available soil. Changes in soil fertility
status of post-sand mining area are not planted with Sengon is very low (SR) to low
(R) on land planted with Sengon equivalent to an increase in soil fertility by
33.33%.
