ABSTRAK
Kegiatan perawatan mesin merupakan aktivitas penting yang bertujuan untuk
memberikan jaminan terhadap kelancaran fasilitas produksi. Pada PT Macanan Jaya
Cemerlang (MJC) terdapat mesin perfect binding yang dianggap vital perannya karena
proses produksi yang dilakukan pada mesin ini menentukan kualitas akhir dari produk.
Dalam proses produksinya mesin perfect binding tidak selalu berjalan dengan lancar dan
terkadang mengalami hambatan berupa kerusakan. Kerusakan yang terjadi pada mesin
perfect binding membuat proses produksi terganggu sehingga proses produksi tidak dapat
berjalan dengan lancar. Dampak dari hambatan yang ada membuat due date produksi yang
telah direncanakan tidak dapat berjalan dan berdampak langsung pada keterlambatan pada
proses pengiriman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan jadwal perawatan
pencegahan dan penggantian komponen mesin perfect binding Yoshino C.
Pendekatan Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) digunakan pada penelitian
ini untuk merancang penjadwalan perawatan komponen mesin perfect binding.
Penjadwalan perawatan tersebut dilakukan dengan cara menentukan interval waktu
perawatan yang optimal. Pendekatan RCM digunakan untuk merancang, memelihara, dan
mencegah dari kegagalan-kegagalan mesin yang mungkin akan terjadi. Pada pendekatan
RCM juga digunakan analisis dari tabel Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) dan
RCM decision worksheet. Penggunaan kedua instrumen tersebut berguna untuk
mengelompokkan kegagalan fungsi komponen mesin dengan alternatif task selection yang
sesuai.
Berdasarkan analisis dan pengolahan data yang dilakukan, dihasilkan 15
komponen dari mesin perfect binding dengan mode kegagalan berbeda. Terdapat tiga jenis
perawatan yang dihasilkan yaitu lima komponen dengan tindakan scheduled discard task,
lima komponen dengan tindakan scheduled restoration task, dan lima komponen dengan
tindakan scheduled on condition task. Penerapan preventive maintenance berhasil
menurunkan total downtime dan meningkatkan keandalan pada komponen mesin.
Penurunan total downtime tertinggi berada pada komponen gathering sensor dengan nilai
penurunan sebesar 60,18%. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena jadwal penggantian dan
pemeriksaan komponen dilakukan sebelum terjadinya kerusakan.

ABSTRACT
Maintenance are important activities that aim to provide guarantees of each
production facilities. At PT Macanan Jaya Cemerlang (MJC) there is a Perfect
Binding machine that is considered vital because the production process carried
out on this machine determines the final quality of the product. In the production
process, Perfect Binding machines do not always run smoothly and sometimes
experience obstacles in the form of damage. Damage that occurs in the Perfect
Binding machine makes the production process disrupted so that the production
process can not run smoothly. The impact of existing barriers renders the planned
production unable to run and has a direct impact on delays in the delivery process.
The study aims to produce a schedule of preventive maintenance and replacement
of Yoshino C perfect binding machine components.
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) approach was used in this study
to design the maintenance scheduling of Perfect Binding machine components.
Scheduling the treatment is done by determining the optimal treatment time interval.
The RCM approach is used to design, maintain, and prevent possible engine
failures. The RCM approach also uses analysis from the Failure Mode and Effect
Analysis (FMEA) table and the RCM decision worksheet. The use of both
instruments is useful for grouping the failure of machine component functions with
alternative task selections accordingly.
Based on the analysis and processing of data, 15 components of the Perfect
Binding machine were selected with different failure modes. There are three types
of proposed task, five components with scheduled discard task actions, five
components with scheduled restoration task actions, and five components with
scheduled on condition task actions. The implementation of preventive maintenance
successfully lowers total downtime and improves reliability in engine components.
The highest total downtime decrease was in the Gathering Sensor component with
a decrease of value 60.18%. This is because the replacement schedule and
inspection of components were done before the damage occurs.
