Abstract

Abstract The research area is located at Lomuli village, Lemito District, Pahuwato Regency, Province of Grontalo. In the research area, toseki usually present in intercalation with granodiorite, dacite, andesite, and tuff. Contact boundaries between toseki with the other rocks, generally are NE-SW and NW-SE trending structure contacts. Physically, the toseki deposit showing white to brownish grey colour, very hard, fractured, as manifestation of tuff silification. Under microscopic analisys, most primarly minerals have altered to major quartz, sericite, and minor of clay minerals and opaque minerals. Atomic Absorbtion Spectophotometry analisys, showing high content of Si02 on the most samples, and variation of the Fe203 content. The reserve of the deposit is abaout 1,747,774.71 m3 or 4,982,550.00 ton. Based on the research, the toseki deposit at Lomuli village, can be used as raw material or filler of ceramic industrial.
