Abstract
Passive  seismic  methods  (microtremor  hydrocarbons)  is a  seismic  method
that utilizes  micro  vibrations  that come  from  nature.  This method  can  be used  to 
determine  the movement of  soil,  volcanic  activity,  and  monitoring  the  geothermal 
field.  In  its  development,  Passive  seismic  methods  are  used  for  hydrocarbon
exploration.  This method is  very  useful  to  be applied in  the  development of  new 
fields before do seismic 2D/3D and avoid the risk of kindling dry hole.
Passive  seismic  measurements  have  been  carried  out  on  the  "No  Play" 
field,  Jambi  Sub Basin,  Jambi Province. Measurements using three seismometer 
components  (east-west,  north-south,  and  vertical)  and  Digital  digitizer. 
Measurements  were  performed  for  3  hours  for  every  point.  Data  processing  is 
done on a 4 point measurement. 1 point measurements were made near the well 
dry  well  and  a  point  near  the  gas  wells  for  the  calibration  well.  And  two 
measurement points in the area of the Field "No Play".
The  results  generated  microtremor  wave  character  in  the  3  components. 
On the  horizontal  components  (east-west, north-south) shows  the amplitude of  the
measurement  in  strengthening  soft  soil  layer  (peat  soils),  while  the  vertical
component  not found.  Point  of  the vertical  component of  NP-2  2-5  Hz  frequency
spectrum  obtained  with  a  strong  amplitude  corresponding  to  the  frequency
spectrum of the calibration gas well and is indicated as a hydrocarbon reservoir.

Metode  passive  seismic  (mikrotremor  hidrokarbon)  merupakan  metode 
seismik yang memanfaatkan getaran mikro yang bersumber dari alam. Metode ini 
dapat  dimanfaatkan untuk mengetahui pergerakan lapisan tanah, aktifitas gunung 
api,  dan  monitoring pada lapangan panas bumi. Dalam perkembangannya metode 
Passive  Seismic  digunakan  untuk  ekplorasi  hidrokarbon.  Metode  ini  sangat 
bermanfaat  untuk  di  terapkan  pada  pengembangan  lapangan  baru  sebelum 
dilakukan seismik 2D/3D dan menghindari resiko pengeboran dry hole. 
Pengukuran  passive seismic  telah dilakukan  pada lapangan “No  Play” Sub 
Cekungan  Jambi  Provinsi  Jambi.  Pengukuran  menggunakan  seismometer  3 
komponen  (barat-timur,  utara-selatan,  dan  vertikal)  dan  digitizer  Digital. 
Pengukuran  dilakukan  selama  3  jam  untuk  setiap  titiknya.  Pengolahan  data 
dilakukan  pada  4  titik  pengukuran.  1  titik  pengukuran  dilakukan  didekat  sumur 
dry  well  dan  1  titik  di  dekat  sumur  gas  well  untuk  kalibrasi.  Dan  2  titik 
pengukuran di area Lapangan “No Play”.
Hasil  penelitian  dihasilkan  karakter  gelombang  mikrotremor  pada  3 
komponen.  Pada  komponen  horizontal  (barat-timur,  utara-selatan)  menunjukkan 
penguatan  amplitudo  pada  pengukuran  di  lapisan  tanah  lunak  (tanah  gambut)
sedangkan pada komponen vertikal tidak ditemukan. Dari komponen vertikal titik 
NP-2 didapatkan spektrum frekuensi 2  -  5 Hz dengan amplitudo yang kuat  yang 
sesuai  dengan  spektrum  frekuensi  kalibrasi  gas  well  dan  di  indikasikan  sebagai
adanya reservoar hidrokarbon.
