DIPLOMASI ISLAM MODERAT DI MASA PEMERINTAHAN
PRESIDEN JOKO WIDODO 2014-2019
Diplomasi Islam moderat merupakan bagian dari diplomasi public
pemerintahan Indonesia untuk mencapai kepentingan dengan soft power. Islam
moderat menjadi salah satu aset yang dimiliki oleh Indonesia yang digunakan
sebagai diplomasi dan sebagai kebijakan luar negerinya untuk mencapai
kepentingan. Pada masa pemerintahan Joko Widodo (Jokowi) tahun 2014-2019
diplomasi publik dilanjutkan sebagai kebijakan yangmana pada pemerintahan
Susilo Babang yudhoyono (SBY) telah melaksanakan kebijakan yang sama.
Pemerintah Indonesia mempromosikan Islam moderat melalui Kementerian Luar
Negeri di melalui beberapa program, seperti Dialog Antar Agama (DLA), Beasiswa
Seni Budaya Indonesia (BSBI) dan program-program lainnya. Skripsi ini bertujuan
untuk menjelaskan promosi Islam moderat ke luar negeri sebagai Identitas Islam
Indonesia melalui diplomasi Publik dan program-program pemerintah untuk
membentuk citra Islam di Indonesia yang bersifat moderat dan mampu
berdampingan dengan demokrasi.

ABSTRACT
MODERATE ISLAMIC DIPLOMACY IN THE 2014-2019 PRESIDENT
JOKO WIDODO'S GOVERNMENT
Moderate Islamic diplomacy is part of the Indonesian government's public
diplomacy to achieve interests with soft power. Moderate Islam is one of the assets
owned by Indonesia that is used as diplomacy and as a foreign policy to achieve
interests. During the reign of Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in 2014-2019, public
diplomacy was continued as a policy which the government of Susilo Babang
Yudhoyono (SBY) had implemented the same policy. The Indonesian government
promotes moderate Islam through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through several
programs, such as Interfaith Dialogue, Indonesian Cultural Arts Scholarship (ICAS)
and other programs. This thesis aims to explain the promotion of moderate Islam to
abroad as Indonesian Islamic Identity through public diplomacy and government
programs to shape the image of Islam in Indonesia that is moderate and able to
coexist with democracy.
