RESPON PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL CAISIM (Brassica chinensis L.) PADA
BERBAGAI DOSIS PUPUK GUANO PADAT

RESPONSE OF GROWTH AND RESULTS OF CAISIM PLANT (Brassica
chinensis L.) IN VARIOUS DOSAGES OF SOLID GUANO MANURE
By : Bayu Aji Dwicahyo
Supervised by :
Heti Herastuti dan Ellen Rosyelina Sasmita
This study aims to determine the effect of giving the solid guano manure on the growth of
caisim plant (Brassica chinensis L.) with difference dosages in order to determine the best
caisim plant in the study. This research was conducted in the practical garden of the Faculty
of Agriculture, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, located at Wedomartani, Sleman, Special
Region of Yogyakarta. The study used method with a Randomized Completely Block
Design (RCBD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications, the use of treatment dosages of
Guano manure (control/0; 6.54; 13.08; 19.62; 26.16; and 32.70) gram/polybag which
analyzed using analysis of variance at the 5% level to determine the response’s effect of
various dosages treatments on the observed variables. The treatment that gives a real effect
is continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with a level of 5%. The results
showed that the application of bat guano organic fertilizer on caisim plants aged 14 days
after planting (DAP), 21 DAP and 28 DAP gave the best and effective effect on the
treatment of guano fertilizer at 15 dosages tons/ha equivalent to 19.62 dosages
grams/polybag to the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, root
length, plant fresh weight and plant dry weight.
