Abstract

ABSTRAK
PT Green Gloves Indonesia merupakan produsen dan distributor sarung tangan di
provinsi Jawa Tengah. Produk yang diproduksi PT Green Glove terbagi atas 2 jenis yakni
sarung tangan sintetik dan non sintetik. PT Green Glove Indonesia sering dihadapkan pada
permasalahan kekurangan bahan baku. Ini dibuktikan beberapa bulan terakhir pada tahun
2019, seperti pada bulan Januari dan Maret terjadi kekurangan bahan baku Double Mesh
dan Merry Mesh sebesar 14,2% dan 12,5%, dimana kekurangan bahan baku tersebut
diakibatkan karena pengadaan bahan baku yang tidak menentu serta pemesanan bahan baku
yang dilakukan berdasarkan data historis. Metode yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan
masalah persediaan ini adalah metode Silver Meal. Dalam penelitian ini metode Silver Meal
digunakan untuk menentukan hasil yang optimal untuk meminimasi biaya pemesanan
bahan baku dan mendapatkan kapasitas pemesanan yang optimal agar dapat
mengoptimalkan persediaan.
Penelitian ini diawali dengan meramalkan permintaan produk Men’s Glove dan
juga kebutuhan bahan baku dari Double Mesh dan Merry Mesh untuk 12 bulan kedepan.
Dari hasil peramalan yang didapat tersebut akan dilanjutkan dengan perhitungan untuk lot
size dengan menggunakan metode Silver Meal. Hasil perhitungan lot size tersebut akan
digunakan sebagai acuan untuk mencari hasil kapasitas dan waktu pemesanan bahan baku
yang optimal sehingga dapat meminimasi biaya persediaan. Pada penelitian ini juga akan
dilakukan perhitungan jumlah safety stock agar tidak terjadinya kekurangan bahan baku.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemesanan bahan baku Double Mesh dan
Merry Mesh untuk 12 bulan kedepan ( Januari – Desember 2021) adalah 9 kali pemesanan
untuk Double Mesh dan 10 kali pemesanan untuk Merry Mesh. Metode Silver Meal juga
memberikan penghematan total biaya keseluruhan sebesar Rp. 32.992.551,00 atau sebesar
5,85 %. Penelitian ini juga menghasilkan safety stock sebanyak 25 roll untuk Double Mesh
dan 20 roll untuk Merry Mesh.

PT Green Gloves Indonesia is a manufacturer and distributor of gloves
in the province of Central Java. The products produced by PT Green Glove are
divided into 2 types, namely synthetic and non-synthetic gloves. PT Green Glove
Indonesia is often faced with the problem of shortage of raw materials. This is
evidenced in the last few months in 2019, such as in January and March there was
a shortage of raw materials for Double Mesh and Merry Mesh of 14.2% and 12.5%,
where the shortage of raw materials was caused by uncertain procurement of raw
materials and orders. raw materials based on historical data. The method used to
solve this inventory problem is the Silver Meal method. In this study, the Silver Meal
method is used to determine the optimal results to minimize the cost of ordering
raw materials and obtain optimal ordering capacity in order to optimize inventory.
This research begins by forecasting the demand for Men's Glove products
and also the raw material needs of Double Mesh and Merry Mesh for the next 12
months. From the forecasting results obtained, it will be continued with the
calculation for lot size using the Silver Meal method. The results of the lot size
calculation will be used as a reference to find the optimal capacity and time for
ordering raw materials so as to minimize inventory costs. In this study, the number
of safety stock will also be calculated so that there is no shortage of raw materials.
The results of this study indicate that orders for Double Mesh and Merry
Mesh raw materials for the next 12 months (January – December 2021) are 9 times
for Double Mesh and 10 times for Merry Mesh. The Silver Meal method also
provides a total cost savings of Rp. 32,992,551.00 or 5.85%. This study also
produced a safety stock of 25 rolls for Double Mesh and 20 rolls for Merry Mesh.
