Abstract
Sermo Reservoir is located in the Kulon Progo Hills, occupying an area composed of volcanic rocks of the Old Andesite Formation. These rock outcrops can be found at the edge of the reservoir, which generally forms quite steep slopes. This research is intended as an engineering geological survey in the field by taking an emphasis on slope conditions in the southeastern part of the Sermo Reservoir. The research objective was to determine the characteristics of the stocking and its effect on slope stability. The method used is a description of the geological structure using a scan line along 247.5 m, followed by kinematic, probability and empirical slope analysis using DIPS, SLIDE and Q-SLOPE programs. The results showed that the slope studied had a Fs of 1.78 and 3.19, which means stable / safe.
