Abstract

Organization business is viewed as a system core, elaborating, independent and inconsistent element and interconnections among all or part of those internal and external elements. The strategic management process can be described as an objective, logical, systematic approach for making mayor decisions in an organization. The goal of developing a strategic plan is to create for small business a competitive advantage. Small and medium businesses need a strategic formulation process designed to suit their particular needs. Most firms face external environment that are growing more turbulent, complex, and global conditions that make interpretation increasingly difficult. To cope with what are often ambiguous and incomplete environmental data and to increase their understanding of general environment, successful firms engage in a process called external environmental. In assessing a new venture (small business), entrepreneurs consider a number of different environments. Typically, they begin with the macro and then move on the micro, focusing data that help them decide how to establish the venture. Two major macro areas of the overall economic environment include specific industry environment and competitive analysis. Industry environment includes the key forces shaping competition in an industry. Competitive analysis involves consideration of the number of competitors as well as the strength of each. The microanalysis focuses on examining the location, the local community. The micro analysis is directed toward the community where the venture is to be launched. Examining the community location as a means to gather information regarding the eventual market. This paper investigates strategic step of assessing external environment in smalls and medium enterprises. The major ways of assessing economic environment, industry environment, competitive analysis and strategic point view. To examine community support in term of reliance and deservedness.Organization business is viewed as a system core, elaborating, independent and inconsistent element and interconnections among all or part of those internal and external elements.
