Abstract

Penerapan blasting system di PT.NNT bertujuan untuk mensinergikan kegiatan peledakan kedalam program dispatch. Dispatch blasting system mempunyai tiga kegunaan yang paling utama antara lain collector (pengumpul data), controll & monitoring dan database. Seluruh data pelaporan kegiatan peledakan dapat diakses secara langsung ataupun tidak langsung melalui intranet atau internet. Alat – alat yang digunakan dalam dispatch blasting system antara lain komputer pusat (host computer), komputer lapangan (field equipment), wireless dan GPS (Global Positioning System). Keunggulan dispatch blasting system terdapat pada GPS dan wireless. GPS berfungsi untuk menampilkan pada layar posisi truck MMU yang sedang beroperasi di pit, sedangkan wireless berfungsi untuk menjalin komunikasi antara komputer pusat dengan komputer lapangan. Penerapan blasting system terbukti dapat meningkatkan efektifitas dan efisiensi delivery system bahan peledak tanpa mengurangi safety operator truck mobile manufacturing/mixing unit (truck MMU). Blasting system spesifik terhadap kedalaman lubang ledak dan jumlah bahan peledak yang digunakan. Di PT. NNT Jumlah bahan peledak yang digunakan mengacu pada nilai powder factor berdasarkan cookbook. Nilai powder factor pada cookbook diperoleh dari perbandingan jumlah bahan peledak dengan tonase batuan yang diharapkan terbongkar. Di lokasi penelitian masih ditemukan penyimpangan dalam pemanfaatan blasting system, hal ini dibuktikan dengan perbedaan jumlah bahan peledak yang digunakan berdarkan plan blast pattern. v ABSTRACT The study was conducted at PT. Newmont Nusa Tenggara (PT. NNT) located in Sejorong, District Jereweh, West Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara province from June to September 2012. Implementation blasting system in PT. NNT aims to synergize the activities of blasting into the dispatch program. Dispatch blasting system has three primary uses include collector (collecting data), controll and monitoring and database. All data reporting blasting activities can be accessed directly or indirectly via intranet or internet. Equipments used in dispatch blasting system including a central computer (host computer), computer field (field equipment), wireless and GPS (Global Posiotionig System). Advantage of dispatch blasting system found on GPS and wireless. GPS function is to display on-screen position MMU trucks operating in the pit, and wireless function is to display establish communication between the central computer to the computer field. Implementation blasting system is provern can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the delivery system without compromising safety of MMU truck operator. Blasting system specific to explosive hole depth and total explosive used. At PT. NNT number of explosive used refers to the value of powder factor based on the cookbook. Powder factor in the cookbook value obtained from the comparison of total explosive with the expected tonnage of rock exposed. In the study founded that irregularities in the use of blasting system, this is evidenced by the difference in the total explosive used based on blast pattern plan.
