Abstract

Criteria for selection of the appropriate EOR method to the oil reservoir based on "Implemented Technology Case", a technology that is implemented at this time, or at least has been proven and tested in the oil field. These technologies include thermal methods, chemical injection, and crowding- mixed, to obtain the appropriate criteria (which gives optimum gain economically), of course, further studies should be done in the form of laboratory studies, studies using mathematical models (simulators), and field trials (pilot testing). C02 injection is injecting with large amounts of CO2 (30% or more of the PV hydrocarbons) into the reservoir. Although CO2 is not directly in contact with oil, CO2 extract the components of light to medium oil composition, and at high pressure to form the immediate mixing of the oil reservoir. Crowding is not mixed effectively can obtain more oil than water injection. Limitation of CO2 injection based on the number of CO2 sources with good quality (having a minimum water content (H2O) or dry gas), which is commonly found problem is corrosion, especially when it occurs at the beginning of injection of CO2 breakthrough at the production wells. Surfactants are organic compounds with molecules having at least one hydrophilic group and a hydrophobic group which when added to a liquid at low concentrations can alter the characteristics of the surface tension and the liquid interface. To improve oil recovery at its optimum, a number of tests performed in the laboratory such as surfactant compatibility test, test IFT measurement, heat stability test, test and test filtration adsorption everything done before the injection of surfactant implemented in the field 'M'. Based on data from geologist and reservoir data, depth, and physical properties of the fluid reservoir of data that exist in the field of 'M' selected two alternative methods, namely injection EOR surfactant and CO2 flooding.
