Abstract
As human security paradigm entered into Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda, it is in teresting to pay attention on how the CSR deals with women issues. Women issues are sometimes neglected from CSR which often measured by physical or infrastructures development. A great step toward human being security, especially for women has been done by Chevron Company in Balikpapan. This research found that they have been conducting important efforts for women needs surround the company. Some projects have been accomplished, including economic empow erment for women and health facility for women. Based on in-depth interview with people that lived nearby PT Chevron in Balikpapan, this paper argues that there have been significant step of that program that directly deal with women needs and women empowerment.
