ABSTRACT
PT. Sugih Alamanugroho is one of the mining companies in the Special
Region of Yogyakarta, which is engaged in mining of limestone. Location of PT.
Sugih Alamanugroho in Bedoyo village, district Ponjong Gunungkidul Regency,
Yogyakarta. Mining activities include land clearing, overburden stripping,
dismantling, loading and transporting. In every activity always involves people,
equipment and interact with nature. So that this work has the potential danger to
every element involved.
Based on the research and interview data to the Head of Mining Engineering
is known that the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety particularly
in the mining activities have not been going well. Therefore, we need a refinement
Health and Safety Management and Preparation of standard operation procedure
(SOP) to prevent or minimize the occurrence of accidents and illness.
Repair Health and Safety implementation, among others such as surveillance,
use and provision of Personal Protective Equipment, Maintenance equipment, haul
road widening and installation of signs. Improvement of safety and occupational
health management, among others such as planning and work programs, trainings,
give a thought to the employees / workers of the importance of Health and Safety,
Providing PPE, inspection or monitoring (controlling), investigation and reporting of
cases of accident analysis, and additional employees. While the preparation of
standard operation procedure (SOP) SOP in mining activities include clearing and
topsoil, overburden stripping SOP (overburden), SOP limestone quarrying.
