Abstract
PENGARUH BERBAGAI DOSIS PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR AZOLLA
(Azolla pinnata) DAN DOSIS PUPUK NPK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN
DAN HASIL TANAMAN CABAI MERAH (Capsicum annum L)

Abstrak
Salah satu inovasi untuk meingkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai
merah yaitu dengan pemupukan menggunakan pupuk organik cair azolla dan
pupuk NPK. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendapatkan kombinasi antara pupuk
organik cair azolla dan dosis pupuk NPK yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan
hasil tanaman cabai merah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Dusun Pelabuhan,
Kelurahan Prajeksari, Kecamatan Tempuran, Kabupaten Magelang, Jawa Tengah
pada bulan Desember 2019 – Juli 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan
Acak Kelompok Lengkap (3 × 3) yang terdiri dari dua faktor ditambah satu
kontrol (tanpa aplikasi pupuk cair azolla dan dengan dosis normal pupuk NPK).
Faktor pertama adalah dosis pupuk organik cair azolla yang terdiri atas 3 taraf
yaitu (P1) POC azolla 150 ml, (P2) POC azolla 200 ml, dan (P3) POC azolla 250
ml. Faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk NPK, yang terdiri atas 3 taraf yaitu (M1) 3/4
dosis normal, (M2) 1/2 dosis normal, (M3) 1/3 dosis normal. Data dianalisis
dengan ANOVA taraf 5%. Apabila terdapat beda nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan
analisis Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan (DMRT). Perlakuan dosis POC azolla dan
dosis pupuk NPK tidak menunjukkan adanya interaksi terhadap semua parameter
pengamatan komponen pertumbuhan, komponen hasil dan komponen hama
utama. Perlakuan Dosis POC azolla 250 ml memberikan hasil yang lebih baik
pada tinggi tanaman, laju pertumbuhan tanaman, jumlah buah per tanaman, bobot
buah segar per petak percobaan dan bobot buah segar per hektar. Perlakuan Dosis
NPK sebanyak 3/4 dosis normal memberikan hasil yang lebih baik pada tinggi
tanaman, diameter batang per tanaman, laju pertumbuhan tanaman (LPT), jumlah
buah per tanaman, bobot buah segar per petak percobaan dan bobot buah segar per
hektar.

Abstract
Red chili (Capsicum annum L.) is a horticultural plant that contains
nutrients that are useful for health such as protein, fat, carbohydrates, calcium
(Ca), phosphorus (P), iron (Fe), vitamins A and C. One of the inovated
fertilization to increase the growth and yield of red chili, is by using azolla liquid
organic fertilizer and NPK fertilizer. The aim of this research was to obtain the
best combination of azolla liquid organic fertilizer and NPK fertilizer for
increasing growth and yield of red chili. This research was conducted in
Pelabuhan, Prajeksari Village, Tempuran District, Magelang Regency, Central
Java in December 2019 - July 2020. This research uses a Complete Randomized
Block Design (3 × 3) consisting of two factors and one control (without
application of azolla liquid fertilizer and the normal dose of NPK fertilizer). The
first factor is the dosage of azolla liquid organic fertilizer 150 ml (P1), azolla 200
ml (P2), azolla 250 ml (P3). The second factor is the NPK fertilizer’s dose 3/4
normal dose (M1), 1/2 normal dose (M2), 1/4 normal dose (M3). Data were
analyzed by using analysis of variance (ANOVA) at 5% level. If there is a real
difference, then the further analysis will be done using Duncan's Multiple Range
Test (DMRT). azolla dosage treatment and NPK fertilizer dosage did not show
any interaction in all the observed parameters for growth components, yield
components and main pest population components. azolla dosage treatment of 250
mL/plant gave better results on plant height parameters, crop growth rate (CGR),
number of fruits per plant, fresh fruit weight per experimental plot and fresh fruit
weight per hectare. NPK dosage treatment of 3/4 normal dose gave better results
on plant height parameters, stem diameter per plant, crop growth rate (CGR),
number of fruits per plant, fresh fruit weight per experimental experiment and
fresh fruit weight per hectare.
