Abstract

This study aims to compare the results of the Pb grade estimation using the inverse distance weighting (IDW) technique. The simulation is carried out by changing the power to the IDW weight. This study used Pb grade which had been composited from 128 drill points. Sample search distance based on the spherical model variogram using isotropic orientation. The accuracy of the estimation results is obtained from a visual comparison between the model and the data and the comparison of the results of statistical analysis. The results showed that the IDW technique with a power of 1.75 resulted in a regression coefficient of 1.014; standard error (SE) of 0.106; R2 is 0.423; Y-intercept of 0.010; and SE prediction of 0.156. Based on these parameters, the IDW method can be used to estimate the Pb grade at the research location
