Abstract

Daerah terletak ± 15 km sebelah barat kota Bumiayu, secara administratif termasuk dalam wilayah Desa Bantarkawung dan sekitarnya, Kecamatan Bantarkawung, Kabupaten Brebes, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Secara geografis terletak pada koordinat di Zona 49 UTM (Universal Transverse Mercator) posisi koordinat 7°09’45”- 7°14’30” LS dan 108°50’40” – 108°55’30” BT, dengan luas daerah penelitian adalah ± 25 km². Daerah penelitian termasuk dalam peta rupa bumi Indonesia digital skala 1 : 25.000 Lembar 1308-542. Lingkungan pengendapan yang terjadi pada daerah telitian dipengaruhi oleh adanya suatu arus turbid yang terdiri dari sedimen yang bergerak turun karena gravitasi (sediment gravity flow) yang kemudian berkembang, dan pada akhirnya menjadi suatu sistem kipas bawah laut. Batupasir karbonatan dan Napal lempungan, pasir halus-pasir sedang, struktur perlapisan, massive sandstone, laminasi silang siur, convolute, graded bedding, parallel lamination,terdapat asosiasi Classical Turbidites (CT) yakni munculnya sikuen Bouma (1962) interval Ta – Tc. Maka, Satuan batupasir-karbonatan Halang dan Satuan napal-lempungan Halang terendapkan pada fasies Suprafan Lobes on Mid Fan dan Lower Fan . ABSTRACT The research area is situated ± 15 km west of the city Bumiayu, administratively included in the village and surrounding Bantarkawung, District Bantarkawung, Brebes, Central Java Province. Geographically located at coordinates in UTM Zone 49 (Universe Transverse Mercator) coordinate position 7°09’45”- 7°14’30” LS and 108°50’40” – 108°55’30” BT , the vast area of research is ± 25 km ². Research areas included in the map RBI Indonesia Digital scale 1: 25,000 sheet 1308-524. Depositional environment on research area affected of turbid flow which consists of sediment moving down due to gravity (sediment gravity flow) were then developed, and eventually became a fan system under sea. Calcareous sandstone and Shally Marlstone, silt-sand medium, perlapisan structure, massive sandstone, laminated cross maze, convolute, graded bedding, parallel lamination, there are associations Classical turbidites (CT) the emergence sikuen Bouma (1962) interval Ta - Tc. Overall, the unit calcareous sandstone and shally marlstone repositioned on suprafan lobes on mid fan and lower fan.
