Abstract

The research objective was to obtain empirical data and to determine: (1) The relationship between the Price to Book Value (PBV), Price to Earning Ratio (PER), and the Bid-Ask Spread; (2) Effect of Price to Book Value (PBV), Price to Earning Ratio (PER), and the Bid-Ask Spread, partial and simultaneous management action against the stock-split; and (3) Effect of Price to Book Value (PBV), Price to Earning Ratio (PER), Bid-Ask Spread, and partial stock split and simultaneously the Economic Value Added (EVA). Appropriate criteria are met in the sampling, this study applied to 60 observations in 12 companies of 135 publicly listed manufacturing companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2005 to 2009. The research concludes: (1) The correlation coefficient between PBV with high PER. While the correlation coefficient PBV and PER of the Bid-Ask Spread is very low; (2) PBV, PER, and the Bid-Ask Spread partial and simultaneous significant effect on the response management perform Stock Split; and (3) partially PBV and PER no significant effect on EVA, while the Bid-Ask Spread, and Stock Split partially significant effect on EVA. Simultaneously PBV, PER, Bid-Ask Spread, and Stock Split significant effect on EVA.Keywords: Stock Split and Economic Value Added
