Abstract

PT. Semen Padang merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industrti semen dengan bahan baku berupa batugamping. Lokasi penambangan PT. Semen Padang berada di Bukit Karang Putih, Kelurahan Indarung, Kecamatan Lubuk Kilangan, Sumatera Barat. Sebelum dilakukan kegiatan revegetasi perlu dilakukan penataan lahan dengan memberi lapisan tanah pucuk (top soil) diatas lapisan sandstone. Lapisan tanah pucuk (top soil) yang akan digunakan pada kegiatan penataan lahan kuari 2 berasal dari kuari 3 yang disimpan di timbunan sementara tanah pucuk (top soil) sebelah barat daya kuari 2. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah jumlah tanah pucuk (top soil) dari kuari 3 memang mencukupi untuk kegiatan reklamasi pada kuari 2 namun diperlukan sistem pengelolaan tanah pucuk (top soil) yang sesuai untuk penataan lahan bekas penambangan agar ketersediaan tanah pucuk (top soil) dapat pula mencukupi untuk kegiatan reklamasi pada kuari 3 sesuai dengan ketersediaan tanah pucuk (top soil). Berdasarkan perhitungan yang dilakukan maka jumlah tanah penutup (overburden) yang tersedia yaitu sebesar 736.000 LCM sedangkan jumlah tanah penutup (overburden) yang dibutuhkan yaitu sebesar 3.000.000 LCM. Sedangkan tanah pucuk (top soil) yang tersedia pada timbunan sementara yaitu sebesar 181.997 LCM. Dari hasil perhitungan yang dilakukan, untuk sistem penataan lahan yang sesuai dengan jumlah tanah pucuk (top soil) yang tersedia adalah menggunakan sistem perataan tanah, sistem guludan dan sistem pot/lubang tanam. Tetapi sistem yang tepat yang digunakan adalah sistem pot/lubang tanam karena dapat menghemat penggunaan tanah pucuk (top soil) untuk kegiatan reklamasi berikutnya yaitu kegiatan reklamasi pada kuari 3. Pada sistem perataan tanah jumlah tanah pucuk (top soil) yang dibutuhkan sebesar 125.000 LCM. Pada sistem guludan jumlah tanah pucuk (top soil) yang dibutuhkan sebesar 74.000 m3. Sedangkan pada sistem pot/lubang tanam jumlah tanah pucuk (top soil) yang dibutuhkan sebesar 1.000 LCM dengan dimensi pot/lubang tanam panjang 1 m, lebar penampang atas 2 m, lebar penampang bawah 1,5 m dan kedalaman 1 m dan jarak antar pot/lubang tanam (4 x 2) m dengan jumlah pot/lubang tanam sebanyak 500 buah. Pembuatan pot/lubang tanam menggunakan 5 unit backhoe Hitachi EX-3500. Sedangkan untuk pengisian pot/lubang tanam, tanah pucuk (top soil) dari tempat timbunan sementara diangkut dengan dumptruck Komatsu DK-18 sebanyak 2 buah menujuku kuari 2 kemudian diisikan ke dalam pot/lubang tanam dengan backhoe Hitachi EX-3500. PT. Semen Padang is a company that moves in the industry of cement which used limestone as raw materials. Location of limestone mining in PT. Semen Padang is located on the Bukit Karang Putih, Indarung, Lubuk Kilangan, West Sumatra. Revegetation activities prior to the arrangement of land needs to be done by providing a layer of top soil over a layer of sandstone. The layer of top soil to be used at the activities of the arrangement of land quarry 2 derived from quarry 3 that is stored in heaps of while top soil in the southwestern quarry 2. The problem faced is the number of top soil from the quarry 3 indeed sufficient to reclamation activities at the quarry 2 but needed a system of top soil management that is suitable for the arrangement of land of former mining so that top soil may also be sufficient for the reclamation activities at the quarry 3 according to the availability of top soil. Based on the calculation that is done then the number of overburden that is available is as much as 736.000 LCM meanwhile the number of overburden needed is worth 3.000.000 LCM. While the top soil are available on the heap while is as much as 181.997 LCM. From the results of the calculations made, for the system arrangement of land which corresponds to the number of top soil that is available used are land leveling system, guludan system and planting hole system. But the right system used is the planting hole system because it can save top soil that is used for subsequent reclamation activities at the quarry 3. On land leveling system, top soil that is needed are as much as 125.000 LCM. On the guludan system the number of top soil needed are as much as 75.000 m3. While on planting hole system the number of top soil needed are as much as 1.000 LCM with pot dimensions length 1 m, above cross section width 2 m, bottom cross section width 1.5 m and depth 1 m and the distance between planting holes (4 x 2) m with total ofpot planting holes as much as 6750. The making of planting holes use 5 units backhoe Hitachi EX-3500. Meanwhile, for charging planting holes the top soil out of the heaps is used dumptruck Komatsu DK-18 as much 2 units toward to quarry 2 then put into a planting holes with backhoe Hitachi EX-3500.
