Abstract
Research on the sources of revenue (PAD), one of the local tax. Tax is a levy that is the right
perogratif governmental taxes imposed on any subject. Tax revenue plays an important area of
revenue to support the Regional Budget. This study aims to discuss the performance of local
taxes in the city of Magelang in Central Java Province with an analysis of the effectiveness of
local tax revenue. Effectiveness analytical methods used to calculate the local tax and local
tax revenues to analyze the existing target. The analysis showed that the effectiveness of local
tax revenues have increased performance over the study period so that revenue local taxes,
especially taxes in Magelang could be improved.
