Abstract
ABSTRACT
Research objectives are: (1) to determine the rate of growth of Regional Tax and Retribution; (2) to determine
the contribution of Regional Tax Revenue to total area; and (3) to determine the magnitude of Retribution
contribution to the total local revenue in Sleman. The reason for choosing Sleman regency in this research
is because Sleman regency is one of the developing counties looking from its rapidly growth and
development, whether it is the department store, tourisem, place of console, and also entrepreneur
by the government or private. The method that used in this research is the descriptive research.
The sources of data in this research are the fi eld research and the literary/library research. The
data that used in this research is taken from Badan Pengelolaan Keuangan dan Kekayaan Daerah
Sleman regancy. In this research, the researcher uses the analysis of growth and contribution. The
conclusion of the research is the average growth of tax and retribution in Sleman regency during
2003-2007 is potential. Meanwhile, for the average of tax contribution in Sleman regency in 2003-
2007 is 45,50% which is categorized good. While, the county retribution in 2003-2007 is 35,46%
which is categorized enough.
