Abstract

ABSTRACT Inequality of income is a fundamental problem that exists in Indonesia. Inequality that is not addressed and allowed to develop can have serious consequences. Most economic growth is only enjoyed by a handful of people, consequently inequality is increasing. This study aims to analyze the effect of infrastructure development, education, and GRDP per capita on income inequality in 33 provinces of Indonesia. The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of panel data, consisting of time series data for the period 2010-2017 and cross section data of 33 provinces in Indonesia. The analysis model used is the Fixed Effect Model. The results of this study indicate that the telephone infrastructure and GRDP per capita have a positive effect on income inequality in 33 provinces of Indonesia, the electricity infrastructure variable and the mean years school have a negative effect on income inequality in 33 provinces of Indonesia, while the road infrastructure variable has no effect on income inequality in 33 provinces of Indonesia. Key words: Income Inequality, Infrastructure, Mean Years School, GRDP Per Capita
