Abstract
South Korea is one of the countries that was trying to achieve development in the industrial sector that is supported by "Green Growth" as the main national development strategy model. This was based on South Korea's economic growth which increased until 2008 causing various environmental problems. Therefore, in the years 2008-2013 during the reign of Lee Myung Bak, South Korea approved number of policies that address issues related to improving the industrial sector. In the industrial sector, South Korea's policy on Green Growth are : reduced energy use and greenhouse gas emissions through programs: Voluntary Agreements, Energy Audit Systems, Energy Use Planning Consultation, Energy Service Companies, Clean Development Mechanisms, Product Labeling and High Efficiency Equipment Certification ; used renewable energy with programs : NRE subsidies, NRE Standardization System, RPS System; and created green technology. These policies was implemented during the reign of Lee Myung Bak, but the results in environmental sector was significant.
