Abstract

Salah satu kegiatan bongkar muat di terminal batubara yang dilakukan adalah pada kegiatan pembongkaran batubara dari tongkang di area dermaga bongkar, pada kegiatan pemuatan batubara ke kapal di area dermaga muat. Di area ini sangat memiliki potensi penghasil debu karena adanya gerakan udara atau arah angin di kawasan pesisir, didukung dengan, bentuk lahan, keadaan suhu dan kelembaban udara. Pengadukan partikel timbunan batubara pada stockpile oleh kegiatan operasional juga mempengaruhi persebaran partikulat debu ke udara yang mengandung mineral batubara. Sehingga sangat mempengaruhi kualitas lingkungan dan kualitas udara ambien yang ada. Oleh karena itu sangat diperlukan untuk menganalisis debu dan mengetahui tingkat pengaruh terhadap lingkungan serta mengetahui persebaran dari partikulat debu. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei yang diterapkan dengan pengamatan, pengukuran, dokumentasi untuk memperoleh karakteristik lokasi penelitian yang diamati. Metode Pemetaan diterapkan dengan memindahkan unsur-unsur karakteristik lahan hasil survei dilapangan daerah penelitian ke dalam peta dasar dalam bentuk titik,garis,dan area untuk membuat sampling debu dan perkiraan persebarannya di sekitar area lingkungan PT.Arutmin Indonesia- NPLCT (North Pulau laut Coal Terminal) Kotabaru-Kalimantan Selatan. Metode gravimetri digunakan untuk mencari selisih berat filter sebelum digunakan dan sesudah digunakan untuk pengambilan contoh uji debu dengan alat pompa vakum staplex. Metode Analisis Konsentrasi Debu diterapkan untuk menganalisis hasil uji sampel debu yang telah dilakukan pada laboratorium dengan membandingkan konsentrasi debu dengan baku mutu udara ambien yang ditetapkan dalam Peraturan Perundangan No 41 tahun 1999. Dari hasil Penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kualitas udara pada area PT.Arutmin Indonesia-NPLCT termasuk aman dengan jumlah dibawah nilai ambang batas 230 μg/m3 dengan nilai rata-rata 108.2 230 μg/m3. Tingkat penyebaran debu pada daerah penelitian berakibat pada kawasan dermaga muat,dermaga bongkar, area bengkel, rumah genset sera area proyek NPLCT. Polutan debu hanya berpengaruh pada gangguan jarak pandang, memberikan warna tertentu pada atmosfer, tumbuhan yang sensitif dan nilai estetika. Kata Kunci : Kualitas Udara, Partikulat Debu, Baku Mutu Udara Ambien One of the load and unload activities that is carried out at coal terminal is coal unload activity from the cargo boat at the unloading dock, at coal load activity to the cargo boat at loading dock area. This area has a great potency to produce coal dust. The emergence of coal dust is caused by wind movement in the shoreline area that is supported by land shape, air temperature, and humidity particularly in dry season. The stirring of coal particle in the stockpile by operational activity also influence the spreading of coal dust particle which contain coal mineral in the air. The coal dust particle spreading has very significant effects to the environment and air quality of the place it occurs. Therefore, it is important to analyze dust, determine the danger degree of coal dust to the environment and also to discover the spreading pattern of dust particle that exist in the location that hold coal dust particle. The method that is used is survey method that is applied by observing, measuring and documenting to obtain the characteristic of research location. Mapping method is applied by converting the substances of land characteristic that is obtained from the survey result at the research area to the form of dots, lines and area in order to make coal dust sampling and the spreading in the surroundings area of PT. Arutmin Indonesia – NPLCT (North Pulau Laut Coal Terminal) Kota Baru – South Kalimantan. Gravimetric method is used to determine quarrel of filter weight before and after it is used for collecting coal dust sample by using vacuum staplex pump. The Dust Concentration Analysis Method is apply to analyze the test result of the sample which is undertaken in the laboratory by compare the coal dust concentration with the standard air quality that is decided in 1999, Government Regulation no.41. From the research result it can be concluded that air quality at PT. Arutmin Indonesia – NPLCT (North Pulau Laut Coal Terminal) Kota Baru – South Kalimantan area is classified as safe with the amount of coal dust is below limit 230 ug/m3 and the average rate 108.2 230 ug/m3. The spreading of coal dust at the research area is affecting the loading and unloading docks area, service shop area and power supply machine locations in all NPLCT area. The pollutant is only affecting visibility disturbance, giving certain color to the atmosphere, sensitive plants and aesthetic value.
