Abstract

Kawasan industri pengecoran logam di Klaten terdapat di Kecamatan Ceper, tersebar di tiga desa yang bersebelahan, yakni Tegalrejo, Ngawonggo dan Ceper. Pusat kegiatan industri terletak di Desa Tegalrejo, Kecamatan Ceper, Kabupaten Klaten. Keberadaan industri logam tersebut menimbulkan keluhan masyarakat mengenai pencemaran pada air sumur mereka. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengkaji karakteristik, penyebaran pencemaran, dan arahan pengolahan untuk pencemaran airtanah dangkal di daerah penelitian. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian adalah metode survey dan pemetaan, sampling, wawancara, analisis laboratorium dan matematis. Karakteristik air bersih yang dikaji berdasarkan parameter fisika, kimia anorganik, dan mikrobiologi. Parameter yang digunakan fisika (kekeruhan, TDS), kimia (BOD, COD, pH, Fe, Pb, Zn), mikrobiologi (bakteri total coliform). Parameter disesuaikan dengan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 82 Tahun 2001 Tentang Pengelolaan Kualitas Air dan Pengendalian Pencemaran Air (untuk parameter BOD dan COD) dan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia Nomor 32 Tahun 2017 Tentang Standar Baku Mutu Kesehatan Lingkungan dan Persyaratan Kesehatan Air untuk Keperluan Higiene Sanitasi, Kolam Renang, Solus Per Aqua, dan Pemandian Umum. Hasil uji laboratorium dari 13 sampel air sumur yang di ambil, terdapat 2 sumur yang tercemar oleh logam Timbal dan 1 sumur tercemar oleh bakteri coliform. Arahan pengolahan yang dapat diberikan berupa pengolahan air skala rumah tangga pada rumah yang memiliki nilai kandungan Pb dan bakteri coliform yang tertinggi berada di sumur nomor 19. Penurunan kualitas air mengarah dari Barat Laut ke Timur. Pengolahan air skala rumah tangga ini menggunakan kolom adsorpsi dengan menggunakan adsorben berupa Karbon aktif dan Zeolit alam. Parameter yang diujikan dalam pengolahan adalah Timbal dan TDS, dikarenakan Timbal masih diatas batas baku mutu Permenkes No. 32 Tahun 2017, sedangkan TDS dicek untuk mengetahui jumlah zat padat yang terlarut. Pengolahan dilakukan pada 2 buah kolom dengan ketebalan zeolit 13 cm dan 27,5 cm pengolahan dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali yaitu 30 menit ke-1, 30 menit ke-2, dan 30 menit ke-3. Hasil efektivitas dari kedua kolom percobaan tersebut penyerapan TDS terbesar pada kolom 2 pada menit 30 ke-3, dengan hasil 69,841%. Senyawa logam Timbal yang ada di lokasi penelitian dapat ikut terserap dan terjerat dalam tanah saat terjadi infiltrasi, sehingga tidak berada di dalam air dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Kata Kunci: Adsorpsi; Air Sumur; Efektivitas; Timbal ABSTRACT The metal casting industry area in Klaten is located in Ceper Subdistrict, spread over three adjoining villages, namely Tegalrejo, Ngawonggo and Ceper. The center of industrial activity is located in Tegalrejo Village, Ceper District, Klaten Regency. The existence of the metal industry has caused public complaints about pollution in their well water. Further research is needed to assess the characteristics, spread of pollution, and treatment directions for shallow groundwater pollution in the study area. The method used for research are survey and mapping methods, sampling, interviews, laboratory and mathematical analysis. The characteristics of clean water are assessed based on physical, inorganic chemical, and microbiological parameters. The parameters used are physics (turbidity, TDS), chemistry (BOD, COD, pH, Fe, Pb, Zn), microbiology (total coliform bacteria). The parameters are adjusted with Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001 concerning Management of Water Quality and Water Pollution Control (for BOD and COD parameters) and Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 32 Year 2017 Concerning Environmental Health Standard Quality Standards and Water Health Requirements for Sanitation, Swimming Hygiene Swimming, Solus Per Aqua, and Public Baths. Laboratory test results from 13 well water samples taken, there are 2 wells contaminated by Lead metal and 1 well contaminated by coliform bacteria. Treatment directives that can be given are household-scale water treatment in houses that have the highest Pb content and coliform bacteria in well number 19. Decreasing water quality leads from the North-West to the East. This household scale water treatment uses an adsorption column using adsorbents in the form of activated carbon and natural zeolite. The parameters tested in processing are Lead and TDS, because Lead is still above the Permenkes No. quality standard. 32 of 2017, while TDS is checked to find out the amount of dissolved solids. Processing was carried out on 2 columns with a thickness of 13 cm zeolite and 27.5 cm of processing carried out three times, namely the first 30 minutes, 30 minutes the second, and 30 minutes the third. The results of the effectiveness of the two experimental columns were the highest TDS absorption in column 2 at the 30th minute, with a yield of 69.841%. Lead metal compounds in the study site can be absorbed and trapped in the soil during infiltration, so they are not in water for a long time. Keywords: Adsorption; Well water; Effectiveness; Lead
