Abstract

ABSTRACT PT. Tahiti Coal is one of mining companies move in coal mining. PT. Tahiti Coal located in Sikalang Village, Talawi Sub-distric, Sawahlunto City, Sumatera Barat. The system used in PT. Tahiti Coal is Surface Mining. The removal overburden activity used combination of diging-loading Excavator Caterpillar 330Dl and hauling equipment Dump Truck Hino FM 260 JD. Production targets are 70.000 BCM/month. Actual production by digingloading equipment are 67.536 BCM/month or 96,48% besides production by hauling equipment are 50.731 BCM/month or 72,48%. Out of target production caused by decrease of effective working time and then it can influanced working efficient and hauling equipment bucket filling is not optimal. Effors to increase production targets used decrease of effective working time can be avoided. from decrease of effective working time can be avoided caused increase working efficiency from diging-loading equipmen 68,69% to 74,41% and hauling equipment 64,19% to 70,97%. In addition to efforts to reduce the time of avoidable obstacles, efforts were also made to optimize the capacity of dump truck vessels with the addition of a number of filling bulk buckets from 5 to 7 bulk. This effort has succeeded in increasing production by digging-loading equipment are 73.160 BCM/Month and Production by hauling equpment 71.399 BCM/Month.
