Abstract

RINGKASAN Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pit Toka Tindung II dan Pit Pajajaran, PT. Meares Soputan Mining dan PT. Tambang Tondano Nusajaya, Minahasa Utara, Sulawesi utara. 2. Kedalamanlubang tidak sesuai dengan desain : a. Pit Toka Tindung II ( ± 20cm ) b. Pit Pajajaran ( ± 30cm ) 3. Lubang tidak dibor akibat terlewatkan operator drill 4. Lubang berongga, overcharging, gassing tidak maksimal 5. Kedalaman stemming tidak sesuai desain a. Pit Toka Tindung II ( ± 20cm ) b. ABSTRACT This research is conducted in Toka Tindung II and Pajajaran Pits, Meares Soputan Mining, Ltd. And Tambang Tondano Nusajaya, Ltd. In North Minahasa, North Sulawesi. The activity was done to assess causal factors of blasting results that did not conform to the design (planning) by focusing on drilling and blasting activities. According to the result of blasting on the field, there were a lot of boulders, uneven fragmentation, and toe was built in the lower level. From the observation results it was found that there are some conditions that can influence blasting quality. Those conditions are: 6. Collapsed holes are holes that have depth less than the design, with depth from 1 – 1.5 m. 7. The depth of holes that less than the design : c. Pit Toka Tindung II ( ± 20cm ) d. Pit Pajajaran ( ± 30cm ) 8. Holes are left undrilled by drill operators. 9. Holes are hollow, overcharging, and not optimally gassing 10. Stemming depth did not follow the design c. Pit Toka Tindung II ( ± 20cm ) d. Pit Pajajaran ( ± 30cm ) Because of those conditions, quality control is needed for drilling and blasting activities. Those conditions are found more often in Pit Toka tindung II than Pit Pajajaran. They were caused by the differences in rock formation and water sources of each pit (ground water and surface water). The success of blasting can be assessed with one parameter, which is digability of the excavator. Factually, digability time of the excavator on site is less than timed target that has been stipulated by the company, so that it can be concluded that the blasting result was still good. The hollow holes had been filled with 5 kgs filling materials and blasting materials had been adjusted to depth of the holes that were not following the design. Production can be increased if re-drilling was done to the collapsed holes and undrilled holes that had been ignored by drill operators.
