Abstract
The phase of development toward communication as study and a science in Indonesia has been keeping on the multifaceted and constructed processes. Communication was becoming a science and it has a academic acknowledgement for many because all components of us have been working hard to realize it come true. Some of us have contributed the best practices in their duties at workplace direct or indirectly influencing the maturity communication as study or a science. We can notice it from what university did, what professional organizations accomplished their jobs or communication industries made the progress a day per day. These participations consolidated the fragments of communication to be system, structure of knowledge and science. We have proceed it succesful. But the growth of communication did not stop here or we feel satisfied instantly. At this point, we still wait the new direction for the future in order to communication has strategic position within national policies in Indonesia.
